Nice job, I just picked up a T-27, very happy with it so far, I just find the bridge a bit mysterious and the aesthetics are a bit odd: finish like a kitchen table paired with a somewhat futuristic headstock; it's an off-beat look. But i totally get it that it's a very practical and well-thought-out design, and you can't argue with the sound.

I have a 1976 Ovation 1617-1 Legend Guitar left to me from my grandfather. It's the guitar he would play for me and my family when he was alive. I used to think the guitar looked ugly and too big, but now I love them because they make me think of him. Unfortunately the guitar needs a lot of work though

As far as I know the club that Morrison may have died in was at 62 Rue Mazerine, not 57 Rue de Seine. Both of those streets are very close to each other. Rue Mazerine is the adjacent street to Rue de Seine. I believe the restaurant called Alcazar used to be the Rock N Roll Circus where Jim died.

I scrubbed through just watching bits of the video (I'll go back and re-watch) but 2 things to note: 1. Why not take the food out of the boxes to save valuable space? and 2. You wear the bag slung quite low. Bringing it up and closer to your shoulders will be easier to manage the backpack. I've had many, many years of backpacking in the backcountry and 1-bag travel through airports. It's much more comfortable to get the bag higher and closer than to have it slow low and pulling you backwards. Just my .02. All the best.

If I were to choose among the 3, I'd go with the first one. That is a Squier SE (Special Edition), which came in packs with an amp. Squier SE Strat bodies had the full 1.75" thickness instead of 1.5" which was the usual spec for Bullets and Affinities. Bullets and Affinities likewise had a narrower nut width, and the Squier SEs had the regular nut width. This made Squier SEs great modding platforms. You can get a good guitar with a Squier SE if you upgrade the pickups (not necessarily Fenders but just good, cheap aftermarket AlNiCos like Toneriders, Artecs, etc.) and electronics (CTS pots, Switchcraft jack and maybe an Oak Grigsby/CRL switch) and maybe change the tremolo bridge too to one that has a big block. I say keep the black one and mod it. :)

I have a Squire Standard Strat I put locking tuners and re-fretted with stainless frets and its a great guitar. I also have a Squire Tele with Fender Performer pickups and locking tuners haven't gotten around to do the re-fret to stainless yet but planning on it in the future. For me nothing beats stainless frets.

I have a 1973 Ovation Balladeer, Glenn Campbell model (shallow body). I wear a strap and my guitar never slides off my lap. The neck is a little narrower than my Martin triple O. I’ve had it for nearly 50 years and still sounds and plays great. The parabolic shape of the patented fiberglass body is louder than similar wood instruments. The gold plated Grover tuners have stood up well for half a century. The only problem I have is that the action is higher than I would like, the saddle is about as low as it can go and I hear that changing the neck angle on this wood/aluminum/fiberglass instrument is difficult to impossible.

They are consistent, sound decent for a plastic guitar, and hold tune. The necks are too wide and they slide off your lap. I've owned Martin, Taylor, Gibson, ect. Martin is still the best 6:36 mass-producedd guitar in the 2,500 to 3,400 dollar range. If you want a really good guitar for less money, buy a Sigma, Eastman, or a Yamaha

I was stationed at Colorado Springs that year and there was a two store chain of music shops there and in Cripple Creek that both carried Ovations. I couldn't afford one but the owner was gracious enough to let me play them as much and as often as I wanted. I wasn't even aware of that model and truthfully it wouldn't matter to me anyway unless it sounded better than the other. My playing improved considerably that year! BTW, there's an undying rumour that there are a few customized with tortoise shell backs. I hope it's not true,at least I've never seen one.
@robinleebraun7739
@robinleebraun7739 Ай бұрын
I’m sure that’s not true. Charles Kamen owned a helicopter company and used a patented material he used for rotors for the bodies. An early version of carbon fiber. He was a visionary who imagined that world class guitars could be made of something other than wood.

For the disc to fly like the flight numbers suggest you have to throw them at the speed of the disc so you can’t throw a 13 speed as fast as a 3 speed putter , it won’t fly as intended

The numbers are supposed to represent the flight of the disc, but if you compare two separate discs with the exact same numbers they fly different.
