Been years since i last listened to this song. Year after the albums release a very dear friend of mine died and i along with loads of our group of mates just got on it massively. Full lets getting fucking wrecked because its what he would have done for us. Something about this song struck a huge cord with me at the time. I fortunately got to see Yob play in Manchester but I fucked it by getting far to pissed as i had just finished 4 months away on ship and they were playing the last weekend before i could finally go home. Was lucky enough to catch Mikes attention and chatted absolute rubbish at him about how much this song had helped me deal with.my mates death even though i was just at the beginning on a huge addiction tailspin. I found Yob and this specific album at an incredibly hard time in my life. I'd ruined myself with too much work combined with too much alcohol and pretty much ruined all my relationships around me. My brother and I nicknamed eachother Bone and Marrow (only in Norwegian, Bein and Marg). I got it tattooed on my fingers, he got it on the side of his palms. We were sitting in my apartment, me being ruined physically and mentally, he with his problems conserning drugs and depression. He had recently introduced me to Sleep, and while shuffling songs this came on. I laughed first at the title being the very name he'd given me, but we listened in silence as we used to. And I had a revelation, I clearly saw myself from outside of my own body, I saw the damage, the hate, the anger at the world and everyone who failed me and me being a failure and I was tired. I decided to wipe it away, to release all the tension deep within my marrow. And I cried, for the first time in years, I cried for hours, me and my brother. Bone and Marrow. When he died 4 years later, this kept me going. I remembered that day when I finally opened my eyes, and yet again decided to let it all go. My anger towards him for leaving me behind and choosing a road I could never follow, my hate of the people who didn't help him, me being a failure for not seeing his pain. Brother, if you're out there somewhere, I hope you're listening to this as well I love you. I fucking miss you.
