Hi AI, good video, Can I get the name of the guy who made your tank Please. I have a 50L aluminum u/floor tank with one breather at the back, boat sits down at the back when on the car. This is causing problems when I fill up. The only way to get a full tank is to lower the draw bar with a trolley jack to the floor, when on the SUV it vomits fuel out the breather on the ground. I know I need a breather at the front , hence your tank fabricator. Things we do mate, always remember your not alone. Cya later.

Cheers bud! Frustrating but has to be done I guess. I used Hayfab in Naval Base 👍 Hope you get your solution also. Nothing worse than the smell of fuel when trying to enjoy the salt air

Love my new era 75L plastic fuel tank that sits above deck at the back perfectly. Quick and easy to fill, no under floor petrol fumes and gets me out to the 40's and back easily with my 115hp yammy 2 stroke which is not economical LoL. If i want to go deeper i just take a Jerry to top it up. The layout of the Viking has the driver and co driver positioned very forward, so the fuel/weight up the back is not a bad thing. Anyways you will have the ultimate with the fuel centered but just a few extra grey hairs for your trouble 😂. Take care and keep up the great work 👍. See you out there when the demersal ban is lifted 🍻

Had you also considered making a larger tank and taking it back as far as your outboard well that way you would have a direct fill from the top of the tank also run a breather via the transom and another one midship so you won’t have any issues filling your tank plus it will balance the boat better and give you a better range. Chuck a fuel flow sensor on it so you know when to top up.

Breather out the back of the transom up high and filler on top of the splashwell bulkhead. I’m in the process of changing out my removable tanks to install one fixed tank under splashwell, over smelling fuel every time I change the tanks over.

You are over thinking it i reckon. Throw that fiberglass tank to the tip. Nothing wrong with ali tanks. I got a 150lt ali tank in my fiberglass CC its going on 15 years and no corrosion. Your right run your fuel spout from the top and redirect your breather and pick-up to the back of your transom. That way on the travel if the tank does expand you wont smell it. Also picture ur hull as a massive esky when it is sealed up. You will 💯 get condensation in there. I put a few inspection ports in my floor and when she is sitting there not in use i open em up so the hull can breath. Its always nice and dry. Instead of making the tank to the shape of your keel make it flat and pack it up on some rubber mat on the edges. This creates a pocket under your tank so the hull can breath. No need for a blower. Hooe this helps im not no expert but i have been here before 👍👍

I’d get an alley one made if I was you atleast the baffels will be able to be welded in, put some nylac on it, I’m an ally boat builder and that’s what we use on all our tanks and never seem to have a problem

Hey Mate I've got a 5.7m swiftcraft Viking has a 140hp on the back. Nice size and rides a dream (fibregalss) If you're looking for a boat if you'll be going by yourself the key is a good trailer which you can launch and retrieve on your own with 👌

Back of the faths yeah? Spoke to fisheries before regarding filming yourself catching more than your allocated 2 demersals per person. They said it's illegal to catch more than 2 per person, but hard to know who caught what normally and if theres 2 licences you can have 4 they don't question who caught what. But if it's documented on video then it's incriminating evidence. Just a heads up bro.
