I have noticed that many Americans miss out the first T in the word Antarctica, being an Englishman who is proud of his country and language, it grates me when I hear lazy English.

this fascinates me and i always wanted to study about it, because as a child my would speak like this,,,,,,like that = like at,,,,,over there = ovair,,,,,, up there = upair, you can hear/see jack nicholson use that exact speech patterns in the 70s movie called "five easy pieces" i own it on dvd and it is my top 10 favs for that very reason , i always wanted to learn more about it but dont even know what to type into search,,,,,,,lazy english? was all i could think of, exactly what would be the term?
