I kind of liked your yellow hair. The brown definitely suits you better. I think it's a Celtic thing: darker hair suits paler skin.

That was fascinating. I didn't realize that The Pill was obstructing diagnosis and treatment of so many conditions.

This was a good mashup. Narcissists are people too, and people rarely change unless they are determined to change.

Even the people who say "you don't need education" understand why education is important. That's why they try to restrict it.

A couple of Helpsters plugged this podcast in the comments under some _After Midnight_ clips, and I've been binging this podcast ever since. It's nice that the circle has closed, and Delanie is now plugging @M on here. It's also so good to hear Dr. Ramani answer some thoughtful questions.

1:06:15 "You can't have enough of what you don't really want." That's a wonderful saying, because it doesn't make sense until it's explained, and then it makes _so much_ sense.

Did that proposal happen on the podcast? Like, during recording? Because I totally don't remember that. Maybe the episode got unpublished because of the divorce.

1:10:25 "It's like a TV show every week, and I just don't have the bandwidth for it now." Ahaha! Only a few months later, and Taylor is fronting an actual TV show multiple times per week.

1:03:00 "Funny, Driven, and Fast Reader" That's both funny and endearing, but really Taylor made that list years ago, and it's in one of her specials: "Smart, and Funny, and Pretty, and Nice". Now she just needs to wear polka dots and stand in ballet poses.

36:26 "I was on cruise ships six years ago." A friend of mine is trying to convince me that a cruise would be fun, but I keep thinking of Taylor's evocative retelling of the horrible time she spent trapped on those ships trying to get necessary food while minimizing contact with the other humans.

I had to stop listening to Sam Bee's podcast. She has a bad habit of chatting aimlessly with her guests, then saying "well that's all the time we have", slapping an intro and an outro on it, and uploading it with show notes full of extraordinary exaggerations. Several times, I've listened because I wanted to hear discussion of the promised topics, only to find that they were merely touched on as part of a short joke. You guys are _much_ more disciplined! It's like you're type-A perfectionists or something...

17:27 "I mean, vasectomies are reversible." Are they? The figures I have seen say that pregnancy is possible 75% of the time if reversal is done within 3 years; 50-55% if within 8 years; 40-45% if within 14 years. It would be a mistake to rely on reversibility.

For the technical detail of losing weight in a healthy way, I recommend Layne Norton's book "Fat Loss Forever". He also has an informative KZfaq channel, @biolayne. But it is important to have a forgiving and kind attitude to yourself if you really want it to work, so this talk is much appreciated.

Kelsey's anxiety over suffering a flub on live TV reminds me of the Ninja Warrior game show. On that show, both the good and the great suffer slips: what makes some competitors great is that they recover from their slips. Delanie's approach of having a few planned recovery lines sounds like a smart plan.
