Marcela is amazing - she is my favorite singer and composer in the metal universe. As a magazine said, with her latin american passion "sent symphonic metal to the south". Quite different to other metal bands in that genre.

Loving the Ale appreciation and the straight into "but Pau is my favorite." Cool. More Ale for me. She is the musical backbone of this group. But sure fangirl over the vocalists. (J/k you followed up ok at the end).

Hey buddy, great reaction, I know it's been months since your reaction to this video but I really liked it. This band cought my attention about 2 weeks ago and since then I've been watching a lot of stuff about them, and among of tons of reaction videos that I've watched this one stands up (sorry for my english, Im mexican, and in my head all Im writing sounds right but if it doesn;t I hope you get what Im trying to say) because you're really paying attention to all that it's happening there.

I've really enjoyed watching your reactions to one of the best bands on the planet today. And don't feel bad. As one commentator put it, being rendered speechless by The Warning is a common phenomenon. Keep up the great work. You have a new subscriber.

Paulina, the drummer (nickname "Pow") practices singing when she is running to enhance her control. Oh, and English is their 2nd language. Pretty good, huh?! I haven't enjoyed listening to a band play live since the 70s. These ladies are amazing.

My apologies...I am so late to this thread! Great comments for a great performance! And I like the fact you spent a little more time talking about Ale. But as a bassist yourself, I find it a tiny bit odd that you did not mention the 2 instances when Ale plays harmonics. Harmonics are usually more common with the guitarist, so I was pleasantly surprised to hear those 2 pair of notes...like icing on a cake! With all that hard driving music, then just pop those harmonics...is that what they call sublime?

I really liked your brief history and music commentary in the middle. A lot of us musicians can see why they are so great but I think you made an exceptional point here: They know how much training to take and how much to figure out on their own and then how to temper that with what feels right in the body to do. There's a whole art in that as well. Like, I'm a decent classical pianist, but I'm a natural at another instrument (don't want to out myself as it's rare). You can see with The Warning that none of them are actually naturals on their instruments (well maybe Pau is), but they put in 10000 hours to become intimate with their craft, and their behaviors reflect that. There are little artifacts of all the many hours they practiced alone in how they hold their instruments and move their bodies. It's like someone who carves a bowl by rubbing a piece of wood every day for 1000 years. The end product is beyond familiar, it's an extension of self. They prioritize their composition, execution, and emotional connection and commitment to their music rather than their precision, but that is the luxury they've afforded themselves by being so technically adept through practice. In the end, it's how they've so wisely chosen to focus on the right things based on their skills and creative endeavor that sets them apart.

Nightwish fans never warmed to Annett. She was the monster. I think that is what this song is about. The band was never satisfied with her and she knew it. The band gave her room to grow but the die hard fans wanted the original singer. Floor won over the old school fans better than Annett did. So now she is rocking hard and having fun! GO ANNETT!
@mooncritter7215 ай бұрын
When Annett joined Nightwish it was not her band. She just did the job, but this is her band. She is in control of everything and can do things her way. That makes all the difference. Nightwish launched her as a vocalist but now she is doing her own thing and that is much more fun.

You are correct about everything you said. The stage crew setting up The sound tech dialing in the sound for each individual show (size and shape changes everything) The light techs being in point and at the right place The drum and guitar techs getting the perfect sound and keeping everything working flawless The musicians showing up with an attitude to give it their all even it’s only 3 people in the crowd Yes things happen (watch spinal tap) the professional knows how to solve the problem without anyone knowing or playing it off. It’s a well oiled machine and a pleasure to watch. Have fun and enjoy it. Great to see you just loving the right many of us have been there from the start. I know I have I get emotional watching because it’s like watching my own kids achieve their goals.

Apart from their talent, the father of the girls from THE WARNING is a sound engineer, and the team that assists them on stage are family members or people very close to them, that's why they sound spectacular

Just for context here.....Ale is only 17 at this point. Pau is 20 and Dany is 22. They release their first album when Dany was 16, Pau 14, and Ale 11.

After ten years of performing and practicing and writing and recording and lather, rinse, repeat... They are a tight, solid band on a mission to grab us by our ears and hold on tight. These kids, no, ladies, now, are (and have been, since 2017, frankly) The Real Deal. Their secret power is that they are siblings. They have that sixth sense of connection that helps them at every step, from lyrical perfection to composition and arrangement to practice, to recording, to performance. Throw in a summer session at Berkeley College of Music in Boston, MA, and work with producer David Bendeth on their pandemic-driven third album, Error, and you have a maturity and a cohesiveness that won't quit. I'm in awe every time I listen to any of their albums or any of the performances at Lunario or Teatro Metropolitan. Earlier today, I watched The End (Stars Always Seem to Fade) about six times. Pau hits you right between the eyes and ears and breaks you. It was raw, real, and heartbreaking. And irresistible.
