Probably depends on the size of the bottle, how much you use, and what you use it for (body washing, hand washing, etc.) Standard bottle pumps will usually last months (at least for me).

Either leave out to dry, or put in refrigerator so it'll speed up the cooling process, then it'll keep shape unless you use it or it gets hot enough to melt(about 200-300 degrees to melt)

No it doesn't harden backup it's had a TON of water added to it. It stays liquid.

Won't go hard, but it will sort of create a layer on top like when you boil milk and leave it to cool. There is a way to avoid this but I'm still yet to figure this out but have seen videos where they show the process but because its in a different language I couldn't understand what they actually used to prevent this layer.

It was about 3 cups of water, 5 mini random hotel soap bars-chopped, and several drops of orange essential oils. I didnt count but i kept doing smells tests lol
