One of the best matches I've ever seen: legend versus legend. Sanchez took the victory, and Nelson put up a great fight.

That fight really looked close until the 15th. Either of them could have won it if Azumah stayed strong. But he admits himslef that he was tired after the 6th round. That is giving Sal his dues for being the stronger guy. Zoom Zoom is not discrediting the boxer Sal was, he is merely saying all things being equal in the days leading to the fight he would have had a better chance of knocking him out. Sal yielded to some of the punches he recieved, unfortunately we will never hear from him about his thoughts on the fight with 'The Professor'. Im sure he will admit it was his toughest cos i have wayched all his fights and Zum zum was the hardest. Zoom zoom has every right to speak his mind. Sal though remains the iron bodied hero from Mexico.

Solo diré algo, Salvador Sánchez venia de tener como 9 peleas en menos de dos años, en el momento de su pelea contra Nelson, Sánchez era 6 meses menor que Nelson, y definitivamente aun no estaba físicamente en su prime, y por último Salvador Sánchez esa pelea la termino entero, aún cuando se acabó la pelea se montó en las cuerdas y se le veía físicamente intacto. Y eso sin contar que Sánchez no conocía el estilo de Azuma Nelson. Hay que dimensionar el contexto entero y aceptar que Salvador Sánchez fue sin duda el mejor peleador mexicano de todos los tiempos, tenía técnica, inteligencia, potencia, buena defensa, buen contragolpe, aguantaba golpes de poder sin inmutarse, y sin querer exagerar, creo que tenía el mejor fisico y cardio de la historia del boxeo, nunca abria la boca para respirar.
