David, in a V shaped room with us at the very bottom, how would you align 2 subs with 2 tops? Subs along the wall facing towards the corner (and us), facing straight out 90 degrees from the wall or flat against the wall facing away from the corner? Thanks. I think loading the corner would kill us as it would be right behind our booth.

Do you like to set the PA subwoofer knob slightly below 12 oclock? Or keep them at 12 oclock exactly? And then, adjust the tops as necessary?

I wish the recap video was longer. A lot of vendors were not shown Reloop, Maxx Design, etc & especially Jmaz, Who was the leading vendor for the main stage and their booth this year. But other than that, it was a very good show.

Reloop and Jmaz both had shots in this video. Reloop has 2 and jmaz has a shot of the attco spot and Justin Schwartz shot was in jmaz booth. I did not see anything Danny max though.

Very useful... A question. How far can the mids cabinets be from the sub at the wall? Would some delay be advisable? Thx so much
@billharnden2227 Жыл бұрын
Seems I'm always too far from the wall to wall load my sub. How far is too far from sub to mains if I walk load. I'm thinking of I wall load the sub my mains would be like 4 feet in front of the sub from wall.

WE need a controller with 10 Inch Platters/JogWheels. Does not need to be motorized(less weight is best). 2 Channels ONLY. Paddle FXs. XLR outs and 1/4 inch booth out. Dedicated Mic/Aux channel. Everything else is meaningless. Oh and Pads have to be Rubber pad NO PLASTIC PADS!!!! :) Come on Pioneer Make it Happen. Ive been Djing for over 30+ Years. Ive had just about every product that has come out for Djing. 1200 to DDJ-1000 Ive seen it all and not impressed with the lack in Platter size. SIZE DOES MATTER!!!!

Great insight. I'm a bass freak but in my opinion a PA set up doesn't really need anything below 40Hz because its the punch that gets the audience hyped up and nobody really notices that your subs are playing below 40Hz. Plus playing lower saps lots of power from your amp and stresses the drivers. I'll take a loud thump over playing low in a PA setup any day.

So you’d prefer the sound of the one-note, 70Hz wonder from a Yorkville ES18P over the balanced, low-hitting, yet powerful BassBoss SSP118 MKII?
@stanleyishmaelbrown8704 Жыл бұрын
@@gaffle-411 Not what I am saying. If I had a choice I will always pick the sub with balanced sound and hits all the notes and I want to hear everything down to the lowest frequency possible. However, I noticed that for most people a good thump is just fine especially when you have a hyped up crowd and you really want to crank things up.

These are great tips! I'm curious as to your thoughts on one specific semi-objection... what is the response you give when someone says "We're looking at our budget..." (or something to that effect)? It's not exactly an objection, but it's not a commitment, either. I've been a DJ for 18 years and still haven't been able to nail down a good, effective response to this. Thanks!
