I am not sure about the game complexity, it seems like a lesson of math-physics, you basically do a jump from system to system in 40 minutes. Which is 0 storytelling, and 100 percent mechanical resource management and math.

A rules note, you CAN cast spells against vermin. The confusion is that there are two general classifications of monsters. BOSS monsters, made up of: - boss monsters - weird monsters MINION monsters, made of: - minon monsters - vermin monsters The rule that you thinking of references minons as a large category rather than the minion subclassification. Let wizards rejoice! 😃

If you ever want to go through a locked door without using one of your lockpicks, you can always wait for a patrol to open the door. You have to expend a ration - and I'm not sure if you regain health (2hp/level) by eating the ration, and I believe the enemy attacks first since they "caught you off guard" but I've used that plenty to go through locked doors and get some XP 👍

For your traveling test. While it true you can’t roll over 100 with your current INT and +CM, don’t forget that if you do roll a 100 it’s an automatic failure (like rolling and critical fail on a d20 1 or 20). P12: Tests.

I like the custom scenarios, I may have to try them. A couple of notes, terrain like forests do not block line of sight, they just grant Cover, which increases Defense by 1. Also note that your Necromancer has the Dark Shield spell, which they can use in response to the Necromancer being damaged or affected by an attack or power, reducing the damage to 0 and negating any other effects or conditions of the attack or power. Each time the Necromancer activates, the ability to utilize this power refreshes. This power does not count as an action.

You can actually use pre-created dungeon layouts and just roll for the corridors and rooms. Plenty of players do that.

Just a rules point, regardless of any weapon/armor/situational modifiers, rolling a natural 1 is always an auto fail for both attack and defense rolls. Also, I love all of your current dungeon adventures, 4AD, 2d6, and d100! 😀
@disciple0129 күн бұрын
Fighter would have killed the ogre with that roll of 2 even with just a +2 modifier. The ogre was originally level 5, but you brought it down to level 4 when you brought it down to half it's health.
@sentino689 күн бұрын
So a natural 1 is not a miss? I haven’t played in a while. Sorry!
@thetabletopengineerplays9 күн бұрын
It doesn't explicitly say that in the core rulebook although there is a statement in one of the cheat sheets in the back. I've always found it odd, and it's explicitly stated in the rules in Abyss.

For level 6, there are some special rooms that have "a" "b" and "c" on them - so even if you roll the room with b or c appended to it, you're supposed to start at room "a." It confused me too but I realized I skipped the special rules before the tables start for level 6 👍 With regard to your combat question, I'm not sure but I do know when you fight more than one opponent, one opponent gets a +1 shift bonus to indicate that you are outnumbered.
