Generally the 'wasted' water is returned to the stream or river it was taken from, this is good for wildlife and any other users of the water further along.

Do you think it can lift 230 meter vertical height
@WaterpoweredtechnologiesАй бұрын
Our metal Papa Pumps can lift up to 200m (depending on the supply head) but if a greater delivery is needed our pumps can be daisy chained.

When the pump is first started, does the pressure valve operate electrically? And is the pump waterproof?
@WaterpoweredtechnologiesАй бұрын
Our pumps run with out the need for any fuel or electricity, there is nothing in the pump that needs to be kept water proof

Your check valve or delivery valve using brass spring check valve will not last long. Im is better to use stainless steel spring check vallve or make a DIY check vave and waste valve.

Letting the ejected water fall back down without capturing that energy is a waste
@Waterpoweredtechnologies9 ай бұрын
Generally the water is returned to the stream or river it was taken from, this is good for wildlife and any other users of the water further along. The exhaust water is depressurised but you could capture the energy if you wanted to.
@drsatan75549 ай бұрын
@@Waterpoweredtechnologies yeah well, with the height that one spits it out at you could harvest the energy and return the water

Few questions; 1. How is wasted water regulated 2. Is it available in Kenya, or it’s DIY invention 3. What’s the maximum suction depth
@K4rlK0ch3r11 ай бұрын
The only downside is, that you wase a lot of water if it is not flowing back into a river
@atomizer266510 ай бұрын
The water flowing out of the waste valve represents wasted energy which could be put to better use.

Why is it not used for renewable energy? You could easily attach a turbine at the end after it exits the pipe without sacrificing pressure
@Waterpoweredtechnologies9 ай бұрын
This is true and something we have been looking into, its just a case of ensuring the right turbine is used

I'm curious as to why the farmer decided to use the Papa pump instead of the considerably cheaper Agri pump. Does the UK require that cattle be watered with certified potable water? Or maybe the Agri pump wasn't available when he installed it? Or maybe if he's saving 20k pounds per year, it just doesn't matter, and he prefers blue 🙂
@GarySchiltz Жыл бұрын
On Antiques Roadshow, I think they would refer to the "green stuff on the brass" as patina and would scold you for wanting to remove it 🙂. Seriously, though, a few misc. comments and questions: If one were using this to pump water for drinking, I suppose you could use a combination of vegetable oil and liquid dish detergent to get things apart rather than WD-40. What material is the housing made of? It appears to be either some Aluminum alloy or stainless steel. Does the pressure tank have a non-permeable bladder like the better well tanks? Other than the pressure tank reinforcement, are there any major design changes from this one that was built over two decades ago?
