If I may ask. I’ve noticed in sampler or simpler when I drag in a sample and play higher on the midi it gets played through faster vs when I play lower it plays the sample slower. How do I fix this ?

Looks like this doesn't work on Macs now (2024). Can't get Reaper to control the SQ-1 clock or notes. You can use the SQ-1 as an input to your DAW which isn't much use.

Automation is literally the easiest thing in ableton

In 10 and below it is more basic than this, you rename the scene with the tempo (eg 130bpm) and the time sig (eg 6/8)

True. It doesnt help that Ableton synth presets are so bad. They feature all these avant garde electronic musicians on their website (yet barely ever put a deep or tech house music producer on the website, like that's below them) then add presets that a 1980s casio synth sound designers would cringe at. I love Ableton but goddam they need to up their preset game

Wow, six years later I never knew this one. I can’t imagine what else I don’t know lol appreciate this. I had a question if you ever get a chance is there any hack to override MIDI notes on the piano roll it seems every time you play n lay some MIDI notes it just kaps over the MIDI notes and I wish you really didn’t do that because there’s some very knows that you want to puncheon with a chords or whatever process you’re laying out on the piano room and you just want to keep or put a certain note to blend with the end or with whatever you have going on, but it just doesn’t seem to work the way I see others does have that feature is do you know if there’s a way to implement that feature if you get a chance hopefully there is a way but then I can’t figure out how to do it or see anyone talk about it appreciate your time if you get a chance to come across this🫡🫡🫡
