I don’t use braid on the Surf 8k. I prefer mono for surfcasting; in this case I use 10kg mono. Drone fishing reels I will run 60lb braid.

Have you tried using rubber bands? They’re great when current is strong as they keep your sinkers from releasing to early. Otherwise try reducing the amount of drag you have in the water, for example, reducing amount of hooks you set or not casting as far.

How was it? Great to fly, easy to work out how to operate and heaps of insane features that puts this drone above the rest. We had a good 10-12kt onshore and this drone showed no signs of slowing down

@@dronefishingadventuresnz after watching your videos, easy as. So simple to use and very effective at catching fish, every trip provides a feed for the family. On top of that, the kids always want to go fishing now as we catch something every set. Went home with a bin full of carrots that day. Looks like you guys did well also.

@@alexpark9947 Good to hear. Always good to get the family out for the day for sure. Plenty of sharks around at the moment, have to keep sending those sets out to try and get those carrots!

Hi Scott. It’s a really nice setup. Tanacom has got plenty of grunt and 1100m 60lb spectra braid capacity. With the Lithium battery I can comfortably get a big days fishing in with 500m + sets. I would imagine you’d easily get 2 days before a recharge (I haven’t tested it till it’s run flat yet). PFS have new ones in stock currently for $400, pretty good deal.

@@dronefishingadventuresnz thanks for the reply. Was thinking of the 8 foot Tica 3 piece with the Tannacom and pairing these up with the new Poseidon Pro Blsck drone late September early October. Hopefully these will all come together for a good set up. Currently flying the AEE22 package from PFS. Been doing well with it. Cheers guys

@@scotthixee145 Good to hear. The new Poseidon Black is going to be pretty awesome. The tica 4pc travel rod is great. Minimal space to store when travelling while being a good quality rod.
