Evening, they are to load into Convology XT. You can either follow this video or there is a step by step in the PDF you get with the pack.

Also remember that, unlike an IR you can change the volume with the input control and get a huge variety of options through the addition of speaker compression and distortion, aside of comparing just the eq curve of an IR, which is easy to "prefer" if it has been tweaked by the creator (much like an oversaturated TV in the store can look better against the accurate ones), the real magic of a non-linear speaker simulation is when you start to change the level and cause it to behave like a real speaker. Like an amp most speakers have a "sweet spot" where you are moving in and out of the distortion/compression range.. experiment with that input control, you will see what I mean :) THANKS for taking the time to check it out, we realise that IRs have become very engrained in guitar culture and are protected by an almost tribal sense of loyatly from many users, all we ask is you try this out and hope that it brings you some joy and is useful musically.

Hey! Yes for sure, I would try that with the Crunch channel model, it will react exactly as the real amp would and has the perfect gain structure to achieve what you describe. This will happen to a lesser extent with the Lead channel as it has so much gain that even reducing the volume wont get you all the way clean.. that being said, if you also lower the Input control on NAM first and then on your guitar it will probably work very well. Remeber this is a totally free pack, so have a play for yourself and share any tips for others to enjoy!

Hi There, convology itself will not run on the Dimehead as its not a plugin host but a bespoke unit.. that being said, our convolution reverb patches absolutely should work on the dimehead you just wont be able to have the chorus effects that Convology allows (unless they added modulation to their convolution reverb module). As they state that you can run convolution reverbs, if you load the .wav files in the "effects" folder from our pack they should work perfectly for all the reverb and delay effects modelled in those convolution patches. You will likely need to ajust the wet/dry balance but otherwise it should work fine.

Hi, thanks for your detailed reply, that sounds good. I hope you will be able to create a tone pack for Andy Summers' guitar tones with The Police. In particular the track Synchronicity II, because I have never heard any models which have got these sounds right.
