I found Jason's turning point in Arkham knight to be weak. Someone so driven to kill Batman doesn't work against his no kill rule. After antagonising Batman the entire game he just turns with a few shallow lines.

What killed me was when Jason was held captive, he heard footsteps and said "Batman...?" when it was Joker. He thought Batman was saving him. I cried when I saw that, the hope he had for his father was gone.

Seeing that torture of Jason Todd by Joker's hands, really made me glad the Joker died for real. Ever since Joker got this way, he's got this sadistic knack of breaking people, especially people Batman knows, Gordon knows, or anybody who has stepped up against the Joker. It's all part of his gag, break enough of a person's will, they become cruel and more just as the Joker, proving his point that any good a person has is just fake. And the real nature is more barbarous.

So The Arkham Knight is the product of Joker. Even after his death he made sure Batman would suffer just a little bit more. Makes me think what else Joker has or had (SS:KTJL looks terrible) planned for his post-death arc.

I honestly prefer the Jason Todd we got in the Under the Red Hood movie, just because his motivations are more geared towards Batman's no kill rule and the pain that came with that. It was a surprise that Jsaon wasn't upset that Batman couldn't save him. That he was more angry that Joker was still alive after what he did. It really put Batman's no kill rule on trial But, there's no way you could have done that twist in this game's context. Not just because Joker's already dead, but because Jason is too broken to be thinking that clearly. He can only think of revenge. Nevermind that the Joker's entire plan rested on turning Jason against Batman

in the Arkham game universe, Jason was born to parents that were in debt to one of the crime families in Gotham, and they actually tried to pawn him off as soon as he was born to pay their debts, therefore, they shouldn't be too surprised that when he grew up, Jason sold them out to the crime family in exchange for a gun and the right to pillage the four corners of Gotham for cash one day, Jason accidentally got caught up in the crossfire between Batman and Joker and made a lasting impression on them both when he ended up assisting Batman to take Joker down, he would have pulled the trigger on Joker if Batman hadn't stopped him, Jason was then turned over to the Gotham City Police Department and sent to serve some time in the local juvie before being shipped off to boarding school for educational rehabilitation, he didn't think much of it when he heard that Wayne Enterprises sponsored his reformation, not until Batman showed up one day and offered to take him on as a Robin
