Beautiful hay guys, even if a bit later than planned. Your corn is looking great too. It's good the corn was still on the short side or those winds could have really caused damage. I'm betting Arnie knew you were a keeper Lynn long before this video! He's a smart guy and a fast learner!😉 Thanks for sharing your day with us and stay safe!🙏❤

Beautiful crops of hay, Arnie and Lynn! No wonder your sheep-young and old-are always in superb condition. Ben is becoming your right hand man with the sheep. What a good boy! Hopefully one day it will click for Max too. Arnie, you make me lol with your “Lynn comments”! Admit it, your day would be utterly dull without her!!🤣🤣🤣

Thanks for another informative video. Ben is really doing great on his herding of the sheep. He has finally caught on to what he needs to do. Thanks to Arnie & Lynn for training him so well. Max just needs a little more work but when he is working with Ben he does really well. Do you still have Louise and Thelma? Or did they go to the other farm when they bought the load of Dorset lambs? Little Mister is finally growing up some. He may be a small ram but he will be a cuddler for whom ever ends of getting him or are you keeping him? 🐑❤️🐏

Ha😂 GPS not working 😂 love the sense of humor. So glad you are getting some great hay off now. Wow baby corn and beans nice that you’re happy with growth. We got some new bales of orchard grass and first thing as I walked up to it was the beautiful smell, looks great too..such a relief to have things getting setup for winter feeding. Our home pastures have a really nice horse mix we planted special.

It is so cool watching your hay bales getting wrapped,! That second cut is looking good and so is the corn. I hope that you don't have to destroy more hay! I had no idea that orchard grass was so aggressive. Raking the hay is fun to watch too. Too bad your GPS didn't work, those lines still look pretty good! Wow, 120 bales is quite a lot for one day! I wonder how many bales are left. Getting those sheep in looks like hard work. It is pretty good that you managed to separate the rams from the ewe lambs by yourself Lynn! I don't think that Arnie would have as much fun on vacation without you lol! Arnie is so funny, of course you're a keeper, it's been a few years now lol. I love how you two joke with each other. Thank you for another great video, take care and I'll see you tomorrow! ❤🐑

Good morning Arnie and Lynn. Marshmallows are appearing everywhere. Mischievous bales too 😂😂😂😂. So many different grasses that go to making a hay field. Alfalfa looks yummy for the sheep. Does tedding make hay to dry for the sheep. Alfalfa has some really pretty flowers. Yup. For sure Lynn is a keeper. You two make an awesome team. Big big hugs to you both. 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰😉😉😉❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Ben did really good helping you move the sheep. My friend had a hilarious thing happen to her dog, it wasn't to her. She walked down in the woods to check on her husband who was cutting up a tree. Her two Cane corsos went with her, she was talking to her husband and she looked over and saw her dog rolling in something, her husband was like OMG, he said I really had to go so I went over there😂😂😂, she was covered in his poop. She had to hose her down. She said here I was cleaning his s@!t off of the dog🤣🤣🤣, dogs are gross😝

I'm sorry. I did send out a personal message to everyone on our channel about Buddy. It should have shown up in your email I believe. I was so upset that I couldn't talk about it so posted it on KZfaq a few days later. 😪

Oh, Lynn, how very, very sad about Buddy! He was such a sweet little soul. 💔 I hope you can train Alexander to be a house cat too, and neutering him will make him more docile, I think. You were amazing at separating the ewe and ram lambs! With the temps so high it must have been a blistering job. Ben and Max worked well together today. Maybe Max is learning from Ben the way Ben learned from Katie (RIP). Lastly, Sandi Brock might be more famous but your channel is the best, IMO. You and Arnie farm the way my family did years ago. Good morning Arnie and Lynn. Oh my gosh. Buddy passed away. Blessings to that little soul. He will be missed. Cuddles from the lambs. Medicine for the heart. I tell you Peggy looks like a happy lamb. I spotted Little Mister getting into the video. Ben has really honed his skills. Max. Now he is 100 percent mischievous boy 😂😂😂😂. Great job Lynn. Wow. You are woman. Such a big job done. I think you need a medal. Opening up the barn created a playground they felt the need to use. Just like kids. Now one thing for sure Lynn. You are a real cutie that brings sunshine with her. Pushing sheep is the hardest skill for a dog to learn. They naturally want to bring them back to you and Arnie where you are lying in wait ready to pounce on the sheep, clamping your teeth over their muzzles to suffocate them. That’s how everyone gets fed, no? Why would they want to push the sheep away so that everyone starves? It makes no sense. Obviously Max and Ben love their sheep but the herding parts of their brains-at least not Max’s-haven’t caught on yet. Pushing sheep is often a skill that needs to be drilled separately. Or so I’ve heard.
@conniesingh4760Күн бұрын
Max and Ben have shown great improvement over the two years I have been watching! They take their jobs very seriously. Great video with the ewe lambs looking so happy 😊Thank you Lynn
@alisoncummins2726Күн бұрын
@@conniesingh4760 Yes they do! They’re great. Ben has figured out pushing but Max is still trying to help out by blocking. I don’t think Lynn and Arnie formally train them at all. They pay good money for well-bred sheepdogs and rely on their instinct and modelling by the incumbent sheepdogs (RIP Katie). And it works! They’re really impressive dogs. Still, pushing sheep is hard for dogs to learn, even well-bred sheepdogs. Ben could figure it out on his own; Max might eventually or he might need help.
@EwetopiaFarmsКүн бұрын
Yes, that is true. A border collie's instinct is to bring the sheep back to the pack leader not chase them away. So, Max is following his instinct whereas Ben is following his desire to please (future video on behavioral psychology coming in a few days!)😁
