This is a common misconception but rockets do not go up because the exhaust is pushing down on the ground. If it worked like this, consider how it would continue working farther away from Earth's surface? Instead, they are propelled because of conservation of momentum as a system with changing mass.

I think nuclear power is amazing. I just wish when the uranium was depleted. It did not take so long to stabilize to be discarded

re 5:00 Is there an easy answer to their first question, " Why didn't the tube fall into the glass under the force of the egg"? I had to get them flicking the tops and bottoms of tubes horizontally. Maybe some high-speed photography of the "experiment"?
