Check out how quiet the crowd is; it ain't because everyone isn't pumped. The earlier audiences especially were so respectful AND in such awe of the E Street Band that it was like attending church. This band slayed every band I ever heard in my fifty-five years of concert-going. I'm seventy, so I've seen Clapton, The Who, Led Zeppelin, The Kinks, Tull, Floyd The Stones, Alice Cooper, The Clash, U 2, Love and Rockets The Jam and on and on and NOBODY holds a candle to The E Street Band when they are flying. If you missed them you should only hope they play in heaven.

One of the most powerful (and underappreciated) lines in a Bruce song: "Upstairs the band is playing and the singer if singing something about going home." Reminds me of Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes "I don't wanna go home." That might be Steve's best song.

Unlike most rock musicians, Bruce's songs are so full of meaning. Every single word is there for a reason, creating and setting the scene. Every song is a story, like an epic movie. Every note on his guitar or piano, every note by the amazing musicians of the East Street Band, every nuance in Bruce's voice, every expression on his face, they all add up to something quite incredible. How any single human being can maintain such a high level of creativity and quality for 60 years is beyond my comprehension.

The Brass just blows me away ! The Irishman, who "turned me on" to Bruce Springsteen, he had his hand in the music and club scene in Chicago, late 70's through mid 80's. Chicago Style Productions. Mr. Dugin. He got talent to come do a neighborhood festival, called, Lincoln Ave. Street Fair. Brought in from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Paul Cebar and the Hey Horn Brothers. What an awesome horn section ! These guys were great ! Big sound ! From that weekend on, I wanted Horns, with my Rock ! It grew to include, strings, and a choir ! The whole package ! Just like I imagined it in my head, before I heard it ! Other great artists did the same. Billy Joel had an orchestra. ELO had an orchestra. I'm thinking, this is exactly what I envisioned ! Bruce and Company, did it so well. All around the Globe. He'd have the band deliver, his music, styled to where they were playing ! He was, and is, brilliant at it. Spain, Germany, the UK, wherever the concert, the flavor of the music, in that locale, he's working it in. It's really quite amazing to me. Louisiana, USA, he's got that Nawlins sound and twist ! Sweden, he's saying something in Swedish, music, keyed to the style in Sweden. Close to the Mexican border...that Spanish guitar 🎸 ! He's the best. He and his band, the Best ! Thanks Bruce and the E Street Band. 👍🍻

Radio sucks today. You never hear these great masterpieces anymore. The audience doesn't have the patience to make it through 6, 7, 8, 9 minutes. Songs have to be completed in 3 minutes or less, or the audience moves on. So sad.

It is wonderful how Bruce can get right inside so many different people and express their emotions. Survivor’s guilt is a very powerful feeling. It doesn’t matter when he wrote it. It fits the bill for 9/11. Many survivors, firefighters or not will have felt it.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
