Im new to bonnets. My hair drys out so fast i end up washing it daily to add moisture. Im almost 50 it wasn't like this when i was younger. Ive been struggling to find anything to help untill i see women of all nations talking about bonnets. Thank you to all the sisters out there. I have been using a bonnet for only 4 nights and already know this is so much better for my hair. Im now looking for a good quality bonnet as i know this is a very good investment for my hair. ❤

I enjoyed the video. my 'struggle' is pushing thru/getting started on my early morning power walks & cardio when it's dreary outdoors. I love working out outdoors when it's sunny and I can get the vitamin D on my skin. my current read is The Untelling, Tayari Jones

💫✨ You look so relaxed and peaceful 🕊️ as you braid! Since braids/plaits tend to stretch the hair a little more than twists 🪢 it really does look like your hair has gotten longer, and I know it's bcuz you're retaining length! Are you 😆 excited? I am w/ my twists 🪢 since THIS TIME after I moisturized and sealed my ends, I gathered it up into sub bundles and then brought those bundles n2 a single unit. It's in croissant-shaped 🥐 bun. These are minis and I can't believe how quickly I was able to get it done ; the longest part is slightly above my shoulder blades. (Is that considered bra 👙 strap length!?!) At any rate, thanks for the calming short vid, and I'll be keeping up your journey. 😊 Best wishes & success!💫✨

I wasn’t even keeping track but I know I started around 4pm and didn’t finish until 10pm. I did stop for two 1 hour breaks in between. So about 4 hours in total

Do you have a mirror so that you can see in the back or are you parting and braiding on a wing and a prayer?
@Tyiece
@Tyiece 9 күн бұрын
Wing and a prayer lol. It’s just a feeling. Visualize the part forming while using finger tips to guide you.

It is a female of all races haircare thing. White women in my family have always worn bonnets. I'm guessing because we don't wear them in public so much anymore that people have the idea that we don't wear them at all. My gramma was born in 1907, and my Mama in 1935, and both always wore bonnets. I was born in 1962 and wear bonnets. I have a young grandaughter who also wears them as well other family members.

I'm a 59 year old white woman, raised in the south. My mother had me in a sleeping silk bonnet since i was 2 years old. This isnt black culture, this is women culture. Thank you for this video! Im going to buy some of your bonnets!!! There is only one race, and that is the human race. We all have different levels of melanocytes in our skin, but still all the same race. I know I'm poo-pooing on the divide and conquer agenda. Thank you again for this lovely video, and yes, I am a born again Christian. Get saved ladies, Jesus is coming, and no He really doesn't care about the amount of melanin that is pigmenting your skin!!! Be blessed!!!🙏✝️💕

Yes to the human race!! We're spirits having a temporary human experience in a physical body made up of many different shades.
