How many multiples for the chain stitch?

I’m in the process of making this lovely blanket for a gift. It’s so easy and feels very “cloud” like. Instead of variegated yarn I am using solid colors, four different ones, alternating. It’s looking quite nice however now I’m conflicted as to which color to use for my border or maybe I’ll use four different colors on each side, possibilities are endless! Thank you for this beautiful pattern❤.

Why not mercerized?

I’m making this blanket as well but I have a question: for the 5th row you say it had to be 64sts but as I’m doing step by step I only get to 57, how/where do the other sts go???? Also in the diagram in IG I believe I only counted 52sts in the 5th row, am I missing anything?? Please help 🙏🏻

Absolutely agree. Think a large project can sometimes be very overwhelming. Once in a while I just want something small that will still make me feel like I have finished and accomplished something. This is a great idea!!!
