6.5k is very is expensive. I use J-Aviation located at FL and a light jet such Hawker 400 is around 3.4k/hr including taxes.

eVTOL for passengers is dead! All of these projects are Ponzi schemes. They are based on the illusion that we can scale up the marvel of today’s little pilotless multi-rotor drones. We cannot. The simple physics of inertia makes it not safe or feasible. Where is the proof of concept? Where is a meccano-set multicopter to prove that such weights (4 people plus luggage) and such a motor/rotor arrangement can actually maintain a stable and safe hover in real-world conditions? Where is the equivalent of the Harrier Bedstead? Nowhere. Ten years of pretty graphics, awesome mockups and quarter-scale models, but no real demonstration of full-weight stable hover systems in 10 knots of wind with unpredictable updrafts and downdrafts. Half-scale models with one person, in zero knots of wind do not count. No one has demonstrated it is possible. eVTOL for passengers is dead!

Do you think that the much-lower cost-per-passenger, as compared to wide-bodied jets, might possibly be related to the lack of cargo-carrying ability ? And cargo still needs to fly ! I agree that, as the XLR comes into service over the next few years, we will probably see more longer/thinner-routes, that can only be a good thing, for us customers.

Well, I wouldn't be so sure. Airlines are waiting impatiently to shove the 757 aside because of its operational cost. The XLR gives far more bang for the buck.
