I have had to perform this fix on the wife's motor. With this guide, it was effortless but for the need for a magnifying glass. The usb microscope makes it seem like it can be seen without some kinda magnification but I found that my camera had a macro mode on it so I used that to identify the cracked solder joints. All I did was reheat the joints with a hot tip and used a tiny amount of solder but anyone can fix this with a cheap solder kit and this guide. Brilliant video, thank you.

Hi, I am having similar issue sith my saab for 4years now, and i have changed a total of 4 ac compressors in 4 years, each time I have the mechanic install a new compress the ac comes on blowing cole air but it doesn't chip out when it suppose to stop, it just continues to run continuously and that cause the compressor to burn up each time because its running so hot without chipping in and out. Can you tell me what could be the issue for the ac compressor not chipping in and out? Could it be some type or sensor gone bad?

What tool did you use to measure? I'm having same code. Did timing chain, replaced solenoids and replaced intake cam sensor. Still the same error code. My fear is if it's damaged groove or the Vanos gear itself. Sadly, the mechanics nearby cannot or not willing to properly diagnose this issue. Any help would be appreciated

All I see is problems with these Ford Custom vans , they seemed ok up to 2015 then the face lift models especially the new ones are problematic with all kinds of issues…. It’s a shame Ford have gone down the pan as I’ve many many good ones In the past namely Mk 5’s 6’s and early 7’s , I wouldn’t buy another one… 😂

So you used a " decade box "? Is that a load of resistors in a box ? So if i shove a 3 ohm resistor across the two contacts that should replicate the seat devices " resistance " ? And the fault should clear ... ? So does the CAM BUSS look for 3 ohms across all " transducers " coils , lamps etc ? In order not to throw up a code ? And the CAM BUSS im presumimg is a square / pulse wave , which i should be able to SCOPE , but how does tye CPU know WHICH DEVICE is not giving 3 R , or is it more complex ?

Here in Greece they ask 120 euros if you take the cluster to the electronics guy. 220 if you take it to the mechanic,so he take out the car and send it for soldering.

i had my cluster checked by rac and auto electrcian both said for a ford 2005 it cluster; even the repair place said it the cluster with all it faults put it in but nothing happened ???

Hi on our 308 CC we have the fan running all the time when the engine is switched off. I followed your checks and find the voltage is only 3.5 volts, also the sensor resistance is 2500 ohms when cold. Should i trace the reason for only having 3.5 v instead of 5V? Thanks

to test the relay cant you just take the relay to your left and use that?

I have the same problem but seems very intermittent, could stay off for months or weeks but when it comes on switch engine off and on again and may not do it again for weeks
