Super useful video, I have Seiko Daytona panda(VK63), but my watch does not follow these instructions after I take out the crown and push the upper button that starts the stopwatch, do you have any idea how to fix it? my second hand is off centered. TIA

Great video. I like when owners - not all, depends on skills - have option to fix things they own. Is it possible to change battery - capacitor ;) - in the model 3m22 to 5m42, to get bigger capacity for the watch or these are different watches models in terms of size, so capacitor phisical size are also different? Exactly I'm referring to Seiko Kinetic Arctura.

Hi, When I long-press the small crown at the right-top nothing happens on my watch. It is a relatively new watch 1 year old. Is there any other issue on mine? Appreciate the reply!

On the Seiko 5, the crown is pushed in like a button to change the day of the week, maybe this would be the same instead of winding the time forward till the day of the week and the date rolls over. I had bought my Seiko 5 from a display counter so the clerk packed it in the wrong Seiko box and wrong manual so I did not know that the Seiko 5 advanced the day of the week by just pushing the crown in like a button and for years I just advanced the time to change the day of the week as you just did. I think you should try just pushing the crown in like a button to see if the day of the week changes as it would on a Seiko 5.

The double triangle "Lightning Logo (Daini logo, now Called SII for Seiko Instruments) under the "Automatic" on the face dial might clarify the manufacture date better as it's not on Seiko watches made inthe 90's. However the Daini logo is typically associated with 1970 through 1979, .i think the lightning logo stopped in 1985 but there are examples of the Suwa (swirl pattern) as late as 1988.

What brand is that watch case holder and where did you get it? Where did you get the ball?

I tried to get the back of my fossil watch off and in the meantime, I smashed the crystal on the top of the front, but I tried to get the back off another watch and there’s no notch. There’s no way of popping it off. I tried every tool and square in the back, so I can’t turn it. What do I do? I can’t stand these watches you can’t get back off.

mine is square and won’t pop off or turn at all how do i get the damn thing off ughh ?

Where can I buy 2 small screws above capacitor? Left screw won't come out. What's a good screwdriver to buy? I just replaced old Maxell with new Panasonic (Indonesia); second hand goes to 20 when round button is pressed (max is 30).

Good morning sir, I have the same watch as in the video purchased many years ago but unfortunately the old capacitor was worn out, so I got a replacement [ MT920 ] and thanks to your video presentation and a pdf manual of the movement [ 5M23A] I was able to able to replace the old capacitor myself.. Thank you very much! I have a technical question. After the replacement I noticed that the capacitor load indicator does not work correctly. each press of the button moves the second hand to various positions, contrary to how it should work. Is it a defect in the IC or did I have to reset the module in some way that I'm not aware of, the rest of the watch works perfectly, surprised by the accuracy of the movement? Also, would you be kind enough to tell me, if possible, where I can get the gaskets for replacement? I would like to be able to replace the gaskets but I am unable to find the sizes or a supplier for this specific material. Thank you for your response and for sharing the videos that are so useful to the community of watch enthusiasts!

My stem wont go back in. I pulled it out in the first position and when i go to out it back itll go all the way in but not stay. I can oull it right back out, and while its in i can change the date but nothing else

Fixed my eta based watch with this trick as well, albeit slightly different. Glad to know that I don't have to open up the case to fix this hahah. Cheers mate 🍻
