Hi! Can anybody provide the torque specifications? My concern is specially for the lower base on the pedestal and the turbocharger to pedestal where the gaskets are required. There are fluids running through and I don't want to overtight and cause deformation of the contact surface planeity.

For a real recommendation from a real technician, cheap tools will get you through a few jobs before they eventually break ( and they WILL BREAK ) don't buy online tools unless you have backups on hand, you don't want to be stuck in the middle of a job when your cheap tools break and you don't have a few days to wait for the replacement to arrive. Always remember that you get what you pay for, a cheap tool is exactly that ......a cheap tool. I have ratchets that cost more than my HF tool cart and yes they are worth every penny spent on them. Harbor freight and online is OK for the weekend warriors but not for making a living on. When someone tells you to stay off the tool trucks they are deceiving you 1000%. Think of it this way....... would you rather take your car to get service someplace where they don't spend money on quality equipment and cheap out to maximize profits vs. Somewhere that quality matters. Go ahead and tell your boss that you have to leave in the middle of the service that you are performing cause the cheap tools you bought broke and you have to get a replacement so you can finish it, I promise it's not going to go well. Anytime some you tuber says that you should stay off the tool trucks should be the biggest red flag telling you that they really really don't have working experience as a mechanic. If you need more proof just ask who's the highest paid guy in the shop and ask them for a tour of their box, guaranteed they are not relying on cheap crap. There's only 2 types of people in the world...... real mechanics and those who pretend, like Mr Subaru. So stick around the industry long enough and you will discover the third type of person that everyone despises, the most vile creature the " engineer " !

Great job. Tip from a dealer tech. Use a pole jack and you wont have to mess with any of that up top. Only do one mount at a time. When you lift the engine it will tilt. Just unbolt the mount and mount braket. You can separate them in the pocket and pull the mount out. Makes it super simple.
@NutsandBoltswithTone7 күн бұрын
@ChrisTheBmxGuy thank you I appreciate that. Most of the time that is what I do but this one was not sure if I could jack from oil pan.
