Tarver correct. Bika got him looking for the ref and that’s not his game. That’s what he does to everyone else. More lateral movement to his right would have been better. Clip him on left side of head where Bika keeps his left low. That’s what Bika was trying to do to him on the inside. Ward shoulda covered his left ear with left hand and rotate with counter right hooks instead of looking for the overhook with his right arm. Bika was one tough mofo tho. Not graceful at all but tough as nails

It's clear from watching how Ward boxed here that he was constantly working and strategizing around his torn right shoulder. From the clinch work to the very simple lead jab style with little right hand usage. Even after surgery, it is incredible how much and how long an injury like that can linger psychologically. He's a true legend for still carving out a successful career with such a big hurdle ever present.

I was impressed how when ward slipped and got up his eyes was still focused on his opponent. even when the ref was wiping his gloves, Wards eyes never left his opponent. tremendous FOCUS!

Dre is uncharacteristically flat footed in some rounds particularly round 10. Must be that knee. He's quicker than some welterweights against Camou(he wore that same knee brace), Miranda, Pudwill and Ruin Williams

Bika will always be the one who gave the prime Dre the most issue in 168. Simply because he didn't gave dre lot of respect. Which made the fight so good. Rubin, Ravelo and even edison miranda are good preparation for him before the super six.

Bika is an animal. If he met any of these boxers on the street they get their ass wooped. But its boxing. Never watched Ward fight but he is a class act getting rough where Joe Calzaghe couldn't do that. Bika with better footwork and a little more boxing skill could have been a champion no question.
