I just ordered a G20 SF gen3. I assumed I couldn't go wrong with a Glock. Most of the videos and info I can find about it say. The barrels are bad and the guns explode quite frequently. I don't think I am going to accept delivery. I'll send it back and eat the re-stocking and shipping fees. I am going to try and look past the name and find a quality and reliable 10mm.

Ty for the video helped alot on my first full dissasembly. I had to sand down rough edges of the side hole of the cylinder for smoother cocking.

Folks, if you want your replica guns to last longer and work properly, oil them regularly before a match and after a match, cleaning and oiling is a must. Consider your replicas genuine originals. For your replicas, use silicone oil and silicone grease, or as I use for replica guns, vaseline and silicone spray, I apply a thin layer of vaseline to all sliding surfaces and parts, then spray just a little silicone spray on everything and the replica gun works flawlessly. Do not use ampoules with So2 gas in summer and when the temperature in winter is above 10 or 15 degrees because So2 creates too much pressure on the internal parts which are weak and cannot withstand that pressure for long. Don't believe everything the replica manufacturers say their replicas can do, replicas are mostly made of aluminum, zinc, and their internal parts are weak material in themselves, but some real iron metal parts are also weak. because it is not a real weapon, so it lasts for decades.

Do not lube bbs it can cause poor hop and will get in the barrel leading to bad accuracy

I attempted the same in theory using a dummy round. I'm still not confident enough to EDC my gx4. First check it was not part of recall, 2nd check it was. Sent in and returned but not sure what Taurus did. Hard to trust it, but I want to.

Um why you holding the trigger when you pull the slide back? Aren’t you supposed to keep your fingers off the trigger until ready to fire?

They’ll give you a gx4 and it’ll have a same issue. It’s the trigger sear it’s flexing when u don’t pull the trigger back straight. If you switch to lefty grip you’ll see the issue goes away most of the time.

Won't using your optic to pull the slide back, instead of the serrations, eventually loosen the optic!? Or even,eventually, affect the aim ?

they’ll give you a new gx4 or just switch the whole trigger assembly. i went through the same but mine went back to normal after i just shot it more and lubed it kind of weird. it’s a pain i know

Be very careful crimping auto cartridges. If you use too much crimp, or if you have a long case in the batch which will create too much crimp, the case will get pushed into the rifling and get pinched such that when it goes off, the case cannot release the bullet propery and creates a serious pressure spike which will very likely blow up the case. Had this happen with a long 45 auto case once and was just crimping the case back to spec after the expander die...but a long case got too much crimp and did this and the shrapnel blew out back up my trigger arm and into my face, thank God i was wearing sun glasses. The wounds were really just surface scratches, but i think with a higher pressure round like a 9mm, it might be a little more severe...generally, i do not crimp auto cartridges anymore. Take care.

Case thickness is different, case rims are different, .380's are straight 9MM are tapered. Probably not fully sizing the .380's. I'll just keep reloading mine with the proper dies. :)

I done the upgrade gell ear cups was 10 quid and earbids used around 15 big tip cut the earbuds in to small bits much easier to fill the spaces

I know its a longshot, but would it be possible for you to measure the door opening hole on the stock, im making a custom battery for my AEG and the stock im looking at appears to have the same buttplate

This gun sucks! My trigger never reset, and now it goes off when it's dropped. Sent it back to Taurus. Update Taurus sent it back with what looked like a brand new frame, and now it works flawlessly. I put over 200 rounds through it with different ammo, and now I am carrying it daily.

I got my CZ in a mystery box and I loved it. But after a while it stopped firing, I pull the trigger, the hammer drops, and it doesn’t shoot. It might have been my fault because I would dry fire it constantly

lubing bbs or inside of magazines is the worst thing you can do, bbs wont get hopped properly because of the oil on them

Put pressure on the trigger to the left as you reset and you get a dead trigger…

The flash hider is the same as on the real m40a5, so not because it is put together wrong or not thought through. The back end towards the barrel is supposed for the suppressors locking system that was made for this particular rifle

Thanks for the video. My rifle was making a rattling noise and I thought a BB had jammed itself somewhere it wasn't supposed to. It ended up being a screw in my hopup unit backed out and was rattling. Thanks!

I adjusted those two hop up points and the up and down hop up or rise did not change at all, do you know why this is?

I sent mine in and got it back today. 2 week turnaround from me dropping it off at Fedex to me getting it back today. The only thing I noticed was they replaced the frame.

Make sure you get the pre-paid shipping label from Taurus. You do not need to pay to ship or return ship a recalled GX4. Some people have posted suggested ways of determining and fixing the problems themselves. Understand that you may void any warranties and weaken any liability claims if you attempt and fail to correct mechanical problems associated with a recall.

Analogs not as precise accurate as digital but way more consistent. and since none of the digital gauges even most expensive ones can calculate Average correctly, then you;re better off with a mechanical gauge.

I use DampRid Hanging Moisture Absorber and my humidity is 54%. I ordered a Eva-Dry gun safe Dehumidifier and will test both. I have DampRid hanging in the closet and it lasts 2 to 3 months.

got one today, won't load any hollow points, every brand hollowI have won't even chamber one, i use the same hollow points worry free in my glock43x, I don't mind using fmj in the gx4, however my slide lock doesn't work... ill lock it back and it will either slam home as soon as I release my thumb off the slide lock, or will lock back and randomly sling home after 5-10 seconds..
