2 months ago I got blacked out drunk (have alcoholic tendencies: binge drinking). I figured 10 years in recovery from heroin, I would be able to control drinking which usually I could; but I see now it’s one bad day from me crossing the blackout line. Never would have consciously cheated but I blacked out wound up far away in the hood and found out I had cheated. For 2 months I felt the distrust and hurt my partner felt but last night they finally broke up officially. There’s so litttle info when you look for help overcoming YOU cheating. I get that it’s such a betrayal of trust and respect, I get it doesn’t matter if I was conscious, but I also don’t know how to move forward. It’s over and it hurts so bad. He broke up last night, than I drank, he for whatever reason showed up, I told him. We had dinner and he saw I had more alcohol (after breakup was ready to get trashed), than he just broke up there and than.
