I've used the permatex brand several times. It actually completely seals around the chip, and then it applies a vacuum to the area to pull the air out before the syringe applies positive pressure to get the resin in. This rain xkit really doesn't have those features, and that's probably why it doesn't make the chip invisible like what i'm used to.

Isn't there enough room to leave the coil attached to the connector?
@MobileCarMechanicКүн бұрын
No, its a short wire so pulling the coil with the connector attached will limit the ability to pull it out and may cause damage to the connector or wires if you pull too hard.

I just completed this job and Ive got a few tips. Buy an extra quart. Draining my transmission got me a little more than I was expecting, around 4.5qts. I just added 4 back in because that’s what Honda recommends. When removing the check bolt only like 2 drops came out which I figured was fine. Upon driving the car something was off so I ended up buying an extra quart and putting it in. Really the only way to know the transmission is at the right level is to ensure when you remove the check bolt there is a good stream that turns into a drip. If you just have a few drops it could have been splashed up there when shifting through the gears and the transmission might actually still be low.

The front will be the only mount that can leak. If it’s leaking replace it and check the passenger side as well as those go bad commonly. Replacing both helped with vibrations.

Hi, I have a Honda Accord Sport 2017 and when I plug my phone into my car into the USB port for Apple Carplay for some reason the screen freezes or just doesn't connect at all until I turn off the car. Do you know by chance what that problem could be? I would appreciate your help. Thanks!
@MobileCarMechanic12 күн бұрын
If you have the G12 like we do in this video it does not support wired CarPlay unfortunately which is probably why it’s been freezing.
@delpiero340212 күн бұрын
@@MobileCarMechanic But it freezes with the OEM Honda Accord Sport 2017 radio/stereo. Is that normal? Tnanks again!
@MobileCarMechanic7 күн бұрын
Might be a problem with the radio itself. Before the radio was changed the forward and previous track button stopped working. Now it works with the new radio. I would try disconnecting the battery and see if that resets the radio and possibly fix the issue.

Most likely the spacer/washer got pushed in. Take your bolt and screw it in the thread and give it some taps with a hammer to see if it goes in enough to fit back on to the bracket.

Some friendly advice....remove your ABS sensor first so it doesn't get damaged. Also, use a wire brush/emory cloth to clean out the hub area. Then add a thin layer of anti-seize before you install the new hub assembly. This will make it easier for the next guy to get the bearing hub out without much hammering. And as I always say when doing your own maintenance, you might be the next guy! Overall a great video to show it doesn't take any real specialty tools or extensive knowledge to do this job. As others have commented though I would highly recommend using a torque wrench especially for the axle nut. If you over tighten it there is a substantial risk of too much pressure on the actual bearing which will cause premature bearing failure.
@MobileCarMechanic10 күн бұрын
Thanks for the tips, it definitely will save you from a broken abs sensor. Cheers!

I noticed your dashboard had a check charge system message, is that a result of the radio install or is something else causing it? also, you mentioned the vehicle settings not working for your car, so if you change them (door locks for example), nothing happens?
@MobileCarMechanic16 күн бұрын
The check charging system light is on due to the alternator being a remanufactured component that’s not original Honda. It still charges. The additional options that I tried to demonstrate didn’t display any other options. Just stayed at the same setting.

Can you still use wired CarPlay? I really don’t mind the tethered CarPlay. Really considering purchasing this unit. I think the entertainment system is the only this I kinda wish car makers offered post sale upgrades to.
@MobileCarMechanic16 күн бұрын
The specifications for the G12 unit states that only wireless is available for CarPlay, based off a forum post on Dasaita’s website indicates that the SOC from Qualcomm doesn’t support it for some reason. If I do find a work around I will post a video. Otherwise the vivid 11 that runs Android 11 and has 4GB RAM and 64GB storage will allow both wired and wireless.
