No inside tank motor is pretty laughable in 2024. What a fail.
@FathomAquaticsКүн бұрын
Not really. I dislike how bulky my tidal is inside the tank, especially with the bright blue accents. They redesigned it to restart during power outages so no need for all of that now.

Little disappointed about the pump still being on the outside. And the new media basket will make it harder to put whatever you want in there
@FathomAquatics2 күн бұрын
@@jmsadms I’m waiting for a better view of the media basket but it does look like the division isn’t that big and if you don’t use the carbon you can still use a full sponge, but I can’t say for sure just yet

Thanks for the info. They should’ve included the surface skimmer with the filter instead of making it a separate add on. You need to work on looking at the camera. You wrote your own script, so you should know what to say, but look back the script when you need to refer back to it. You look like an NPC.
@FathomAquatics2 күн бұрын
@KGAqua some people wouldn’t use the skimmer so it reduces waste not including it and maybe brings the overall cost down for the majority. For your second point, lol what a thing to say. Go make your own video and do better if you think you have all the answers :)

Interesting. Maybe it will not make noise like my last one and start after power outage. If so, I can replace my box filters with them. I doubt it though, but finger crossed as I hate the box taking up room in my aquarium.

Because they haven't learn yet to put the motor inside the tank I wont buy them I will stick with my Title series HOB they are super reliable. Aqua clear HOB are good while there running but water changes and power outages you have to fill them back up just to get them started. That is there downfall in my opinion

@FathomAquatics12 сағат бұрын
@@FishRfun Fluval just posted on their Facebook page a video demonstrating these new aquaclears restart on their own after power outages without you having to re-prime them, so no real benefit to having an inside motor in this case. Also I think you can just use a sponge or more media where you would put the carbon :) hope that helps.

I really like the intake sponges! I'm tired of having ones that are too big and having to zip tie them on and then having the zip ties break after a while 😅. I'm hoping they'll still sell replacement parts for the older models as one of the reasons I bought so many ACs is so that I could keep them going forever and just replace parts when needed. Will be interested to see reviews on the new ones when they're available though. Great video and reporting on the new design, Alex! 🙂👍
@FathomAquatics3 күн бұрын
As of now all of the replacement parts for the old models are still available on their website, and if you use an old ac110 the parts will always be available because they reuse the same motors and impeller

@FathomAquatics let's see. I have to constantly pull my heater out of my tank in order to monitor temp/change temp. For contactless, I have to have way more contact with this heater than one with a simple knob. I've turned my heater around on the suction cups, and I've changed positions in my tank. Zero ability to do any nfc read while it is submerged. Waste of money.
@FathomAquatics5 күн бұрын
@@7James77 well it’s a heater not a thermometer so you shouldn’t be removing it to read the water temperature. It’s more of a set it and forget it until you need a drastic change like raising the temp to fight ick. You should be using a thermometer to monitor your water temperature.
