Danke Schön! I love this. I slowed it down to get every nuance , especially the CH in ich and Ach! And i understand your point in keeping it in rhythms. Interesting we English speakers can say Human and apply the hiss there but it is not so easy on the endings of words in Deutsche. I had 2 years German and that one has always been tough! Thanks for the diction help. I am listening to yours repeatedly re learning it.

How are you doing the rolls, like in the word "warten" and "führen" is it an actual tongue roll?

Hi Meghan. As a classical singer you would roll the "r". When speaking, the "r" is not done with a tongue roll, unless you are a native of the Southern part of Germany (Bavaria for example). It is a guttural "r", produced in the back of the mouth / top of the throat. Quite close to the French "r", only more rolled. :)

Hey there! Yes, getting rid of certain habits is hard work. But also there are so many versions out there and some singers roll all r's, others don't. It's difficult to decide on one style and stick to it I think!!! Good luck with your studies :)
