We adopted Turkish Van sister kittens 6 years ago. Tiny as my hand. They are the sweetest cats! We feel so fortunate to have found them in a foster home!

I just found your channel. Love it!! ❤ I rescue a feral kitten about three years ago. During the time I tamed her and call her Sunshine. I found out she was a Turkish Van ( black and white colors). Sunshine runs 90 to nothing in the house. She loves water, too. Omg, she bosses the other cats in the house. Not too aggressive!! Two months ago, I got sick with pneumonia. Sunshine changed in a good way. She started cuddling with me. She sleeps right beside me all night. When she wants loving ❤️, she will jump on my shoulders. Omg, the bathroom door has to be open when I take a shower. Please understand that I am not the only person in the house. She stopped having anything to do with them. It's like overnight I became her person. Have you ever heard of a Turkish Van Cat doing this?

I will share this video with my Mom… her cat avoids water all of the time!!!! 😺 She will be impressed!!! 💦

I have one Male Turkish Van in Carmel/White and one in Black/White. The Black/White male is more reserved. The Carmel/White is the talkative alpha male. Both boys have wonderful dispositions.

If you had a covered litter box you would have much less problems keeping kittens out. When my two Turkish Van ' boys were kittens I purchased the Triangle style litter box with a duplicate styled top. Plus I put a indoor /outdoor mat at each litter box opening. The mat saves the floor immensely.

You are doing it wrongly man. when you are swiping or cleaning their room put the cats in another room temporarily. Bc at the time of cleaning and collecting dust especially, cats can catch many viruses in that dust and drt.

I have a Turkish Van - maybe. He came from a shelter with no background. He has all the physical characteristics but has no interest in our swimming pool, other than drinking from it. He fell in once and was not a happy cat. But I like to credit him with the history. He is curious, funny, and a very affectionate lap cat. Foofy with orange spots and tail. Awwww.

In 2006 my daughter lived in fort mac alberta Canada she saw an add in the elevator of her apartment building for kittens to be given away she responded to the add and ended up taking these two cats around 4 or 5 months of age These 2 cats were female one had a blue collar the other had a pink collar so she called them pinkie and bluey, she had them for 2 years then airflighted them home to us in nova scotia, we already had a housefull of cats so whats 2 more, while reading my grandaughter a book about cats Ialmost fell over because there on the page was a white and orange cat called a turkish van that looked exacty like pinkie and bluey,I loved these 2 cats so much they were very special on oct 9th 2023 bluey passed and we are devistated she was over 17 her sister pinky died in 2021 from diabetes and heart disease Looking at your cats makes me smile THANk YOU for the memories.

We had 2 Turkish van cats they were phenomenal animals ,sisters,I really miss them.

Mother has her work cut looking after her kittens , our daughter chose a van who needed a new home from the cats protection and yes he is heavy and likes his own space .😀
