It is still early in the process. A few early chapters are written, and the rest is outlined. Given the usual time at the editor, and doing rewrites, I don't see it launching until next year.

I'm sorry to hear, but thanks for commenting. A lot of times when I wasn't doing a game blind for the audience I find myself sometimes watching someone's playthrough to see how they got past the same scene. It's tough in a game when you have that one scene you just can't get past.

I would like to express my thanks to your brother for portraying the soldiers of that time so well. Bill Guarnere was an amazing man and hero and represented all Airborne paratroopers with honor, and so by extention your brothers portral also did honor to the fighting men of that time. My father was a Glider Trooper of the 194th Glider Infantry Regiment of the 17th Airborne and although his unit wasn't as "famous" as the 101st, certainly saw his share of action from fighting in the Battle of the Bulge, to the Rhineland campaign including Operation Varsity which was the last airborne assault into Germany in late March 1945. Heroes...every one of them. Lastly, I strongly echo your comments about how for a certain brief time after 9/11 we were together as a country and I would like to think the events of that time drove home the message of Band of Brothers...about loyalty, brotherhood, honor, patriotism, and courage. The exact traits we needed at that time.

to be fair though, they said that it would be released at the beginning of the year, i mean i hope they do launch it in december, but im not holding my breath. if they do launch it in december (and based off of a couple little things mentioned recently, and to be fair i could be heavily reading between the lines) i wonder if they are a year or less from release. i cant remember how it was said, but i believe chris said that ocs was the last major thing to finish and that everything else was basically polish/optimization

Yes OCS was the last MAJOR technical hurdle slowing down development of S42, the ROAD MAP will be released in December not the game, but I would say they are within 1-2 years of completion.

Also I'm not sure when they promised release in Q1 of 2018 ( I very well could be wrong it wouldn't surprise me) but I don't remember it.

There is truth to that. I've seen a few video game and movie trailers in recent years in which I knew I was sold on getting, but then the trailer would reveal too much.

Thank you! I have been trying to not rush the main quest too much. I'm curious about all there is out there, and I haven't even gone into some of these casinos housing certain factions. I may have to explore them soon. I know one trick is that I have to be careful not to go too far down one faction's questline too early, lest I suddenly find myself cut off from someone else unprepared.

I suppose one of the scariest things about Mr House is only that he is an AI. Otherwise, he has been extremely helpful. Then you have incidents like the Followers of the Apocalypse wanting to take him down, and they're supposed to be "good" also. I appreciate folks giving me nudges without spoiling. I know I've been leaning NCR, and my character certainly would, but I'm not trying to force any other group's hand until I need to. Thanks for checking out the show!

I "think" I will side with the NCR if anyone. Though right now, I'm rather happy with my penthouse in House's casino. Not sure what I'd be giving up if I pick NCR, as I assume I may have to face Mr House. On the other hand, as far as I know, House and the machines may not have good things in store for me either!
