Long afloat on shipless oceans I did all my best to smile 'Til your singing eyes and fingers Drew me loving to your isle And you sang Sail to me Sail to me, let me enfold you Here I am Here I am Waiting to hold you Did I dream you dreamed about me? Were you hared when I was fox? Now my foolish boat is leaning Broken lovelorn on your rocks For you sing Touch me not Touch me not, come back tomorrow Oh my heart, oh my heart Shies from the sorrow I'm as puzzled as the new born child I'm as riddled as the tide Should I stand amid the breakers? Or should I lie with death, my bride? Hear me sing Swim to me Swim to me, let me enfold you “Oh my heart Oh my heart Is waiting to hold you”

Вот это настоящая музыка США , как же случилось так, что мы всем миром деградировали до того что имеем сейчас? Прекрасная песня , спасибо Джону Фрусчанте за то что познакомил меня с таким выдающимся артистом.

I misheard the lyric (on the Mortal coil version) as " Oh my heart, shines from the sorrow" which l think more poignant.

no, it's coming from YOUR OWN HEART or how else would recognise it for the sublime piece of wonderful work it is? Already there, already there. Deep inside you.

Big Star Quintet performing at FitzGeralds by Chicago last night included this song, with Pat Sansone of Wilco doing nice job with lead vocal. Chris Stamey too.

John Shaw Neilson's poem pairs so perfectly with Cathie's exquisite playing. She illuminates the essence of his poem (and perhaps of John as well?) with her lyrical, haunting touch

This song was written for his second son, Taylor, who died at age 7, also from accidental drowning (like Jeff years later).

This was taken from the final episode of "The Monkees", which, incidentally, was directed by Mickey Dolenz. Tim was apparently Mickey's special guest.

I just finished watching "coming home" (again). This is the last song in the film Such a difficult film to watch. Saw it in the theatre first run. Jon Voight in 1978 , he was amazing. I remember , as a teenager, hearing on the news everyday that 20 soldiers had died...I was horrified..
