Say you experience the same thing during landing but at a speed moving through air . Headwind changing into a calm wind but you’re coming in to land at 65 knots. Does the airspeed decrease instantly and we in turn have to make some adjustments to the flight?

And let’s not forget to align the aircraft WITH the runway not just ON the runway… VERY important… Nobody ever says that for some reason

This is in theory easier these days as you can import from Simbrief. But what I can't figure out is how to set my cruise altitude? EG my plan is filed for FL240 but I can't find where to set that anywhere. In the 750 unit for example, I would open the flight plan, click options, and enter the cruise altitude. I can't find that in the G3000 anywhere. I've tried setting on of the enroute points as having a restriction of FL240 but that doesn't seem to flow down properly so I'm not certain that is the correct method.

I always came in high enough to glide in if I had to. This paid off big time when I had an engine failure while landing at Big Bear California.

Yeah, but don't worry, even if you don't know how to land at all, if you're flying a plane, chances are very good, you're going to land.

Great video, thank you! 6:07 Question- at 10k, you say "this is a circling only approach so we can go straight in or enter the pattern to bleed off more altitude". What are the details for the pattern? First I've heard of that on this approach.

As a former ILS technician and Flight Inspection tech, I find this really spot on.

Special relativity is a special case of general relativity, and only applies to non accelerating objects outside of gravitational fields. You simply cannot apply special relativity in this situation where the GPS satellite is in a gravitational field and has a circular or centripetal acceleration. You can only apply general relativity. Furthermore, if you apply both SR and GR you get time dilation from the first (from higher speed) and a time contraction from the latter (from weaker gravity). Which leads to a paradox, of time dilating and contracting at the same time.

Ron Hatch, one of the inventors of GPS, states that GPS actually proves relativity WRONG. See his disertation in the video 'Relativity in light of GPS'.

So at the same point in space, time dilates and contracts at the same time ? How is this considered a viable explanation, when its obviously a contradiction ?

At what distance do you start the turn outbound 317 to the procedure turn, the only distance listed is remain within 10dme and the distance from the OM to the rwy is 5.4nm, but at what distance do you start your procedure turn ?

IFR is so simple but the FAA question wording is the tricky part. Be nice if they actually tested knowledge instead of “can you find how we tried to trick you?”
