Schade, dass Ueli Maurer die Informatik verlassen hat und Bundesrat geworden ist.

Uh Gesichter Animation davon hätte ich gerne mehr gesehen im Filmchen. Nicht dass ich eine Chance hätte es zu verstehen, Gesichter modelieren ist der Hammer. Aber ähem, Mathe überlass ich vielleicht doch lieber meinem Dev. Aber ich finde es ja stark, dass in Zürich endlich auch mal etwas geht in Sachen 3D. Wie sieht es denn bei den Game Designern aus? Wird die ETH hier mal ein Bricket nachlegen? Weil Game Devloper ohne ihr Gegenstück auszubilden ist ja schon irgendwie etwas kurrlig, gerade wenn es ja später im Team funktionieren muss, weil die Pipeline davon abhängt. Ist da was geplant?

Informatik ist nicht Mathematik. Leider fördert die Vermathematisierung unverständlichen Code, der Software schlecht wartbar, fehleranfällig und teuer macht. Ich mag den proletenhaften Aufruf nach maximaler Praxisorientierung nicht. Leider verleiht die ETH dieser Forderung Aufwind, weil die Mathematikvorlesungen den Kern-Informatikthemen den Platz wegnehmen.

Da wird mir warm um's Herz, wenn ich jemanden mit so viel Begeisterung bei der Sache sehe. :) Ich gehe Formeln am liebsten aus dem Weg und bin eher künstlerisch fit, aber ohne die Rechenpower dieser Menschen würden viele 3D-Programme heute immernoch zu kompliziert zum erlernen sein. Ich bin zwar drei Jahre zu spät, aber ich möchte allen für ihre Beiträge in dieser Branche danken!

I want to ask some question: there is machine learning master in ETH? And is it possible to apply by student that doesn't come from a computer science backgrounds? I have read on a website that GRE is a MUST HAVE for applications however there’s no definitive clue about minimum scores. Thank you in advance.
