Looking to get one of these for general trail riding. I can get leftover 24 right now with huge discounts. would you recommend it for that purpose? Does it lug as good as the big bikes do or do you need to ring it out?

For a 150 it lugs pretty good. Much more low end than the 125, but obviously significantly less than a 250 or 300. I'd recommend this bike if you like to ride aggressively and don't mind shifting a lot. It's not for a lazy rider.

This is the comparison I've been looking for !!!! Need more details though and analysis on how they differ as far as power delivery, ergonomics, how long the gears are, and Engine braking! It sucks because there are no ride days or anything around here so I could actually ride them and compare. Great channel!

@@ShiftGearsMoto I think it's more how the power delivery compares. My yamaha is extremely snappy down low and I have to short shift it or it revs out. Some guys love that low end power. As far as engine braking - how do they compare as far as roll speed into and through a corner? When you're charging a corner or rut and back off the gas can you roll easily to the apex of the corner and then roll the power on? How long does the bike carry 2nd/3rd? It would be intersting to see how the new yamaha compares to the ktm. Just some ideas for content that you normally can't find. Great work!

Before my Husky, I was going to buy a YZ125X - but went with the TE250....I don't regret it, was looking for a more simple bike, but in the end I went full enduro and glade I did! that YZ250F definitely got a lot of grunt!

I'm contemplating switching from yamaha to ktm. I've seen a lot of videos on the CUO but none of them really demonstrate how much the programming can change to bike. I would like to see video on how much the engine braking can be reduced and throttle response actually change as a result of the app. I'm hoping someone throws on a go pro and demonstrates how much the engine braking and throttle response change. Sort of a before and after programming change demo. You could be the first! It's quite an investment so don't really want to spend the money if the app doesn't really change the bike that much. Nice channel and content!

Thank you! I actually just rode a 2024 YZ250F (video will be live in a few minutes from this comment). The biggest change the CUO makes, in my opinion, is to the engine braking and throttle response. You can feel a significant distance. @@ShiftGearsMoto Thanks so much! I like my 2017 yz250f but find it hyper torquey in corners and quite a bit of engine braking so I find it hard to roll into corners. Nice bike but looking for something that rolls a little more freely with longer gears. I will check out the vids and subscribe!

@@user-lv3py5vm6i I was riding a 2015 YZ250F prior to this KTM and felt the same. I turned my engine braking down in the CUO and it's much more comfortable for me. I noticed a big difference. The KTMs shine in mid-top end. Thanks for the support!

Got everything checked out and thankfully my head is fine. Just suffered a pretty bad concussion and messed up my wrist. It’s taking longer than expected to heal but I’m back out there!

start by checking the engagement point on your clutch lever. It's that's fine, look at your clutch plates.

I do have a question. I just got a new 24 Ktm 350xcf. I only ride trail so not sure if it's worth it. My question is is ktm app free? Or do you still need to pay the $250. If I do get it does it show overall mileage? Or is it just let ride

$250 is for the GPS and unit. The KTM app is free, but you have to pay $70 per year for the LITPro integration for all the statistics like lap times, segments, etc. There is no additional fee to adjust the engine characteristics. It does not show overall mileage, just what was recorded.

The only complaint I have about the 23/24 350 Xcf's is that engine break everything else is amazing. I love the entire rest of the bike, but that engine break that engine brake sucks balls, especially for cross-country racing learn off the throttle and the bike just stop.

I was never able to get anyone’s name that helped me and the track didn’t share it. I’m very grateful for everyone’s help that day. Could have been a lot worse! Even the track owner gave me a ride to my truck on his quad. No idea who actually brought my bike back.
