God... This made me miss rugby so much. This whites team's forwards are very unfit. Fix that and they'll go along way fixing their scrums. Strong safety's closest equivalent in rugby would be blindside flanker. Number 6 in most countries, apart from South Africa and France where they play 7.

I can see exactly how this made you miss rugby. Such a cool perspective to see the game. I feel like I'm there playing too hahah Yeah the forwards will have to get in better condition for sure to improve their game Thanks for the equivalent on strong safety and blindside flanker. Those guys are massive!

17.19 …he says “so much altitude out here”. People who’ve never been to South Africa probably don’t realise that Johannesburg is over 1750m above sea level (5750 feet). I wonder if playing/training at that altitude affects peak fitness in the same way that it enhances the performance of long distance runners.

FYI Japan has the some of the fittest athletes as their whole MO is built around moving the ball quickly. The downside of their approach is facing a devastating physical defence that’s aim is not just to stop you but to break you! 🇿🇦 🏉 💪

Club rugby is the foundation for the national team. I've played club/factory league. The rugby you're watching here. Rock hard turf with patches of sand for a field and a clubhouse with cold beers. You'd have the time of your life playing a 6th level club rugby. Warning dirty play is likely. On any winter weekend thousands of matches from school, club, village, provincial, professional matches in South Africa.

I love that Clive! You're 100% spot on. I know you're incredible experience in playing rugby and I love to hear your insight on this. These matches on this type of setting are what really develop your skills. I can only relate it to my experience of what we call playing playground football It's a bit more wild and rugged, but teaches you a lot about the game and developing toughness. I appreciate you always Clive!

@6:32 Nice to listen your point of view. Right or wrong I won't judge, everything can happen in such short amount of time as you said yourself. Just one thing to add: Remember the play doesn't stop after the tackle. Stopping the ball carrier is mission accomplished for this phase, but phase 2 is coming next. Ruck now. You have to understand playing a Ruck very close to the touch line is a thing, people broke it down long time ago and it's not always a bad thing for the attack. As an example: Let's say you did as you said and forced the guy to go outside and took him down. Now, perfect timing, one of your guys pick it up, then he'll be the one very close to the touch line and vulnerable to be tackled out... in-touch for blue team, probably turn over back again.... You know what I mean? Again, not saying what you said is off, at all, but just unfinished, in rugby you must think 1 step ahead. People who can do 2-3 times are pros for the most. Don't get me wrong. 😉😉

Yeah you're 100% spot on and I really appreciate your insight and perspective on this for sure. That makes a lot of sense thinking way past making 1 tackle on during the game of rugby Like you mentioned there is way much that goes into it than what I was able to notice because I have not game time experience in a real rugby game I love a respect all of your incredible insight and knowledge of the game. I'm always open to learning from you and others who have way more experience playing the game than myself 🙌🏽

You can watch the entire France SA game in the RWC quarter finals 2023 on youtube. Many people think this was the best game ever at a RWC.. I believe Kolbe ran around 10.5 for the 100 meters in high school. given the quality of tracks etc, this is very fast.

Hi great video. i like to talke about the last part who came with a big cutural differance and a back clash. The ref is french and in french we are use to penalise when you let the clock tiking too much (the law existe but it is vague..) but not realy in south hemispere. So the australian presse go on the ref and criticise too much as if he hade been paide to fool them. It was realy violant.
