The turtlebox does in fact have a dedicated hight. In the same spot too. 200 bucks cheaper though might be a game changer for a lot of people

Absolutely love the setup! I’m in California and lumber can get pricey! I also don’t have a huge lot as you do 😢 Can you make a video explaining, in detail, how you built the deck? We have this exact pool. Thanks! 🫶🏻

I really can't explain the deck. My wife and I just did the best we can but we aren't carpenters for sure.

I almost bought one and then realized the two handles have an "open" configuration (i.e. you can see through the blades from top to bottom when the knife is open). I'd prefer a solid back liner the full length of the knife

Nice vid. If you really want to get into the weeds you do have to pre chill to have a fair comparison. The reason why is because the yeti is so much heavier. When you dumped in all that ice the thermal mass of the yeti is so much greater that it will melt more ice than the rtic trying to cool down. Its like throwing ice on a warm 12 pack vs a warm 6 pack. You just need more ice. Once the pre-chill is done then you can go ahead and do a scientific test. My guess is the yeti wins by one day. Probably nit a huge deal but i just wanted to point this out
@EverydayMan3 күн бұрын
I know they are supposed to be pre cooled But I think in the real world that it is rarley done. I know I don't do it. So for me this was a real world comparison. But you are correct.

How is your pool holding up with the saltwater system? i used one my first year and had rust develop very quickly on the frame joints. After that first year I eliminated the saltwater system and went back to fresh water with chlorine. I haven't had any more rust issues in 5 years. Saltwater systems and metal framed pools are not a good combination. Don't get me wrong, saltwater is amazing, but it wrecks havoc on the frame.
@EverydayMan10 күн бұрын
My pools usually last 4 to 5 years. The frames do see some rust but my liners fail first. They aren't permanent pools for sure.

Just did mine. Super easy took 30 min. Don’t need a jack.Use drift punches to line up everything. Set all your bolts in place before tightening anything. Tighten the rearmost under bolts first then the upper 4 bolts. Use hemostat forceps or skinny needle nose to help grab the fishing wire for the lower 2 bolts Shops around me wanted $450 with parts and labor. Got it online for $230 at CARiD and took minimal time. Don’t cut any plastic until you know you have to. It’s step one in the instructions but dry fit before cutting Appreciate everyday man for the video reference 👏
