I spent many a night singing with Grace Jones and Thelma Houston and many more. I miss those days; they were the golden age of nyc clubs....Have a Merry X-Mas in 2017 and thanks for the memories..

I know this was posted a couple of years ago but thank you so much for uploading these. Watching this brought back memories of the fun I had at the Albury watching this show with friends. What also made it special was seeing myself & my friends in our old corner dancing away. (I'm the red head in the pink shirt seen smiling behind the so called "Straight Guy" singled out by Leggs Galore around the 6:26 mark). one of the best drag shows of the time. Scary seeing myself from 20+ years ago, how things change... Thanks again for the memories

"I am what I am" was composed by Jerry Herman in 1983 for the musical. "La Cage aux Folles" (for Albin, played originally by George Hearn). Gloria Gaynor covered it & it became a a modest chart success. George Hearn was the original Albin, but Len Cariou was the original Sweeny Todd. Harvey wrote the book for La Cage aux Folles (winning a Tony Award for it) but was not the composer or lyricist.
