Shoni was so great in college and that first year in the WNBA. It’s so sad what’s happened and whether it’s all her fault or circumstances she’s faced is hard to say but she should still be playing.

Shoni was amazing. I wish she stayed in the WNBA. She would have been there on top with the best. We need more Alaskan Native/Native American women in the WNBA.

Shoni is one of the most talented and gifted WBB players I ever seen. I say that thinking of all the gifted women with have played at the college and pro level. I am concerned that her playing days are over. Hopefully she will be back for the 2018 WNBA season. I am holding my breath, but just barely.

Hopefully with her new team her career will continue to progress and she'll return to All-Star form and continue to rack up new achievements and maybe get her new team some playoff victories or even a WNBA title. That would be cool. Her play style has so much fierceness and energy behind it. When she's on offense you better get ready to run because she's gonna push the ball and attack the hoop! =)

NY has some talent, but it is going to be very competitive for Shoni. They will have 18 players in camp and 10 of them are guards. I'm sure she can rise to the challenge though. Tina Charles is there and she will need Shoni and the other women to ball out if a title is in their future. I want the Liberty to make some noise!!
@jonathanakerele80067 жыл бұрын
That would rock because I haven't heard nothing out of the Liberty in terms of championship aspirations since the ancient 90's days of Teresa Witherspoon.I still remember in the summer of 1998 when she hit that full court three point shot over Cynthia Cooper to tie the best-of-three WNBA Finals series with the Houston Comets at 1-1. Amazing shot! =)

Shoni is in NY now and has put on some weight. I don't know what is going on, but something appears to have her distracted. Maybe she will have a bounceback season coming next year. She is good for the league and I wish her peace and happiness!
@jonathanakerele80067 жыл бұрын
Yeah. Hope she bounces back with her new team. She has so much talent! Her play style reminds me of Allen Iverson but the way she put on that show at the All Star Game and how she became a media sensation in 2014 while kind of flying under the radar reminds me of what Jeremy Lin did with the Knicks in 2012 when he put up all those crazy scoring binges. Nice! =)

There is SOOOO much talent on the rez, it's crazy!!!! I'm 43 now and I remember in the 90's , the rez tournaments would keep it "OPEN" to let white teams, black teams, Chicano teams....any team to get in and play BUT , they always got ran off the court...any native-baller reading this, knows what i mean!! Proud of you Schimmel! !! " Head-knod "
