These motors only suffer from oil consumption from lack of maintenance (extended oil changes, low quality oil), poor tuning and using poor quality fuels. I’ve owned quite a few VQ’s many hit well over 250k and never burned oil and I used to work at a Nissan dealer.

No. A cold start is where you start the car when the engine oil is not warm. Your cars engine oil can cool down over a 5/6 hour period (work, outing etc) so a car can cold start numerous times a day.
