What are the advantages of each mode ?? Especially between boresight and pre mode ??

@@DJeb86 personally I use PRE mode when I have a TGP loaded on the aircraft, I then use that for targeting after slaving thr seeker head to it. I would also use it if the target is stationary like a building or skip that's docked for example. BORE mode I'd use if I don't have a TGP loaded and I'm engaging targets of opportunity, by simply pointing the nose of the aircraft to the general area os the target and then fine tune my targeting. Nice tutorial! What about the trajectorie of the Paveway II ? The manual say that the lasing proccess should start about 16 to 10 seconds before impact. With buddy lasing as soon as the bomb leave the aircraft it seeks the laser Does that compromise range in anyway? Thanks
@fisgasfighties10 күн бұрын
@@cayancesardeoliveira5708 thank you! On the demonstration where I'm lasing for his bombs, I lased the whole time because whenever I'm employing LGBs I'm always trying to prevent any significant deviation that the bomb might experience either due to an imperfect release, with pitch or bank angle, or if significant winds cause it to drift from its intended target area. With lasing the entire time at least when the nose cone is looking at the target area it picks up the designation right away and continuously performs adjustments to its flight path on the way down. I've not experienced any noticeable impact on range while using this method. However, you can absolutely use the method you're describing. You can stop lasing as soon as the other aircraft spots the designation and only resume lasing when the other pilot tells you the bomb is 16 seconds from impact. I hope that made sense.

Could the f16 actually carry 4 sparrows irl? I’ve only ever seen it with two
@fisgasfighties18 күн бұрын
Good question, I'm not sure how it is IRL, I'd say it might depend on the block or the specific version for a country. For example, apparently the USAF Vipers weren't equipped to carry Harpoon or at least it wasn't very widespread, but other air forces had most/all of their Viper fleets equipped for this capability. About the Sparrow, this version block of ROKAF Viper can carry 4, and considering BMS' tries to be realistic I imagine it's based on some source.
