It’s alright.. Yamaha YZ-125 makes like 35HP at the rear tire, and well over 40HP at the motor. I think the Stihl 881 is nearly the same CC size engine. But only provides about 1/3rd the HP. I always wondered why saw engines are so under powered. Even if you piped the 881, it would not put out 50% of what a bike engine can. 🤷♂️

Hey Dyno Joe, I have a interesting project for you if interested? Or perhaps you have already made a video of this, I'm not sure. I run 90octane ethanol free gas in my saws - I add 108 Octane booster to my gas, it says increasing horse power I think by 7 points🤨🤨🤨 So I assume that would give me, with the right measurements 97octane, with that booster added???? However after more research, now I'm assuming that 7points actually means getting my gas to a MAXIMUM 90.7 Octane perhaps😏😏. Would you be interested in trying out some of these OCTANE BOOSTERS on your Dyno to see if adding these too our gas ACTUALLY GIVES OUR SAWS MORE HORSEPOWER??? The reason I ask you to check this out, is because Donnie Walker and Ironhorse has HIGH MARKS for you!!! They trust you, I trust YOU!! I hope you take on this challenge.

Hey Joe I noticed that you haven’t changed the air filter system? That A2 system is very nice and clean. The saw breathes better and filters the air good unlike the stock filter system.

I thought the 261C took several tanks of fuel before the Mtonic tune would open it all the way up to the 13K+ RPM range and rev limiter? I wonder how that may affect its numbers and torque/HP curve. You kinda see them run like 12K ish RPM max, and then out of no where and with some usage, the Mtronic adjust and allows for high rpm. Because the Mtronic saws have a rev limiter, and I didn’t hear your saw hit that. Just curious.

An 090 will out cut an 881 when it comes to heavy, thick wood. Like they say, there’s no replacement for displacement.

I have a ported 550xp and that suffices for all of my current needs, but if I ever need a bigger saw in the future, I will get a clone 372xp and leave it stock or maybe just mod the muffler. Well, unless I find myself swimming in cash, then it'll be a name brand of whatever current tech is. Maybe they'll have electric saws with fusion generators on board. Comes with a sealed lifetime uranium pellet in there.
