I have a 9' 6" style with single fin forward and it is the MOST FUN EVER! Sorry, don't mean to yell BUT I'M EXCITED! If the mid fin track was longer for more forward fin movement you could do 360s! Well, you could try.... Good work Bertram!!!
@SurfFX5 жыл бұрын
carport gargoyle just run a smaller center fin and you can spin to win!
@pete91245 жыл бұрын
Ha Ha! I like it.... will try again but I think it looses a bit of bite and paddling out is like doing the twist... but maybe big fin way forward would be the same.... I'd just like the long track to experiment like the nutty professor!

been trying to buy one of these for 2 months now with the 60cm mast......just cannot get hold of 60cm mast in uk ,,, wots happening north? the mast doesn't seem to be for sale in the uk??
@SurfFX6 жыл бұрын
Not sure about the UK but here in Australia you can easily get the short mast with the Fanatic Surf wing if you can’t get the North branded 65cm one. Isn’t it 3 degrees there? Just wait until summer

Great review. I can't recommend this board enough for beginners and/or heavier guys. Being a 95kg+ beginner this board was and still is my saviour in lighter winds allowing me to stay up wind and have fun where most are walking back along the shore.The board performs really well and allows you to take a smaller kite when learning and get up and planning with ease.Would love to upgrade my well thrashed standard version to the textreme version!

what's would you consider to be the lower wind minimum (ability to stay upwind) for a veteran/efficient 80kg rider with 11m surfkite on salt h20?
@SurfFX7 жыл бұрын
around 12 knots if you don't have much current running with the wind. If the current is going against the wind you will be doing much better. If you really want to go in light wind, get a foil.
@teranhughes777 жыл бұрын
cool-the Whip sounds almost as efficient as the Nug. Most of us don't work for shops and get a chance to try all the new gear. Interesting--already on the foil-thank you. Cheers

Bert mentions a 9'8" Flow? does this size exist?

Hey, great vids! How does the Whip compare with the Nugget for light wind performance? I am 5ft8 70KG you think 5ft2 is the right size? Cheers!
@SurfFX7 жыл бұрын
Alex, the Nugget is a light wind machine! But don't expect to be tearing up waves with it. The 5'2 is your size. The big one is suited for 90kg plus 😎

hi SURF FX ! love your reviews and very interesting but if i may why dont you present the size model you are reviewing so we have an idea of the real volume of the board compare to you standing next to it? i know you are presenting a model regardless of the size but knowing what size in on the stand would help us figuring out the real volume of the board! thanks and again very nice reviews

It is about the Flow range in general but we have the 8'7 on the stand.

custom or typo?? it says 90L on the bottom but supposed to be 81L??
@SurfFX8 жыл бұрын
It is a pre-production board with random graphic numbers on the specs. They do it like that so if it is in a photoshoot it looks like a regular production board.
