Stupid, unnecessary question, as if bits/little passages could be able to define a musician’s quality.

Led Zeppelin was big at their peak but they still are big in more than one way .Yes,their music still kicks butt and also many musicians we have today may not have gotten into music industry if Zeppelin didn’t play a key role of influence on them!

fantastic short video depicting very well who this humble genius was. Fought through adversity and anguish, ever being the gentleman. #1 for me for sure.

Saw him at a drum clinic in 1993 in San Francisco. He was mind boggling to watch. Sat 5 feet away from his left kick drum. Beyond insane. And a truly humble and gentle soul.

Every metric possible says Mangini is better. However, there is a very subtle thing that most of people don`t pick up which is what to play when to play and this is where Portnoy is better. He plays bespoke drums. Mangini is all over the place with his exercises. Listen to Dream Theater live with Mangini, it`s almost painful.

Led zeppelin is not heavy metal. Blues based hard rock at the the start then progressed to a blend of different styles based in rock.

I saw Radiohead promoting their Kid A album. Understated vocals, drums and guitars. I’m guessing because they all contribute and get on well and no ones being a prima Donna. You never hear about any internal conflict for a 30 year span band ? Never going to scare you but definitely move you.
