I’ve made SAVOURY gem scones. Follow this recipe but simply omit the sugar and vanilla. Add some tasty grated cheese, a sprinkle of garlic salt (and a dash of normal salt if desired) and some chopped up chives. Mix all the ingredients together to a pancake consistency and bake as per directions. They went down a treat at my bookclub! 😄
