Would be nice if there was a committee of scientists for each pathology who could recommend practical intervention(s) which could be employed now. And update these recommendations every couple of years. For example, would increasing various types of autophagy be a good upstream intervention to address multiple downstream issues, and how might those types of autophagy best be invoked.

Any committee ends up same way - a small group of people are easy to corrupt. Once corrupted, they gonna give us some dumb recommendation like carb based food pyramid while simultaneously sandbagging/hiding any real breakthrough, steering research towards pharma profits. They say there are over 6000 patents being kept secret because they would cause severe disruption to economy/industry of USA, no doubt some are from medical field. I wonder what kind of stuff our overseers are keeping under lockdown.

I can imagine the general public becoming less obvlivious (or dismissive) of longevity research when they see the results of de-aging human skin. Presumably breaking the crosslinks is one of the most important factors in achieving such a result? (I'm not a biologist, just a scum bag mathematician who came across the channel :-) ).
