GUYS HEAR ME OUT !! At the end of this video, we can see Sly Cooper waking up in an Egyptian desert with some of the time machine’s ruins. So that means that he got sent to the past after that crash, he is still alive (hence why he couldn’t be found at all by his friends). My theory is that he will do everything in his possible to go back to his present time (Probably what the next game would be about if Sony made a sequel). We pray that he will find his friends and soon-to-be wife once again. I know he would never give up like that.

Sly 4 was the first sly game I played and finished and I was alright with the ending at first because I thought (cause I was 7) that they obviously were already making a sequel if they ended it like this. After playing through the other games on ps3 and especially finishing sly 3 with more time passing from finishing sly 4, this ending just got more and more sour. I went from finishing sly 3 and thinking “thieves in time was planned all along” to “oh that’s cool that they wanted to give the series a chance at a continuation” to finally “why did they have to keep the Time Machine line”

There's a Japanese concept called "Ma," which essentially means a moment of emptiness. When telling a story, be it in a movie, TV show, or video game, sometimes you need a moment to pause and contemplate what has happened. Going from plot point to plot point can sometimes make the story feel rushed and unnatural. This sequence of the game is an excellent example of taking a moment to reflect. It's beautifully done and helps to elevate this game above others in its genre.

Moral of the story: never mess with the funny little eyeballs or you will get PON PON PATA PON’d.

This ending really hits me in the feels every time I see it. It's for sure the saddest ending to a game that I've ever seen. I know there are other endings where Ethan dies but this one is the saddest for me.

This is one of my all time favorite scenes in all of gaming!
