Could you explain the difference between the overhand and underhand? I've tried following both videos, but they look and feel the same to me
@Octomoves27 күн бұрын
Let's try this. You look forward and the rope goes from your back like you would be walking forward - that's overhand. If the rope goes up and back, like you would be walking backward, that's underhand. Or You release the rope when it's in front of you, if: It goes straight to the ground - overhand. If it flies to the sky - underhand.

I understand motion and flow but without increased resistance the body remains the same. That being said, for those that want this level of conditioning..... wonderful. I only ask about the possibilities as you add weight for low impact strength/core building.

Thanks, I really love your presentation. One thing I don't understand, why not make it symmetrical: so Right Pinky leads, palm up --> then Left Pinky, leads palm up? Sort of alternate? Seems more ambidextrous and functional, no?

@@myexperimentalmind I love it, been incorporating it into my daily workout session. Use it for warming up, sometimes extra swings after my workout, and this is nice to do when giving body ache some rest in between workouts. Continue to learn the intermediate movements, not really easy for me but it’s fun to do even with that few basic moves.

Question on the length of rope. If you're not planning on jumping through the rope, wouldn't it be better to shorten so it's not hitting the ground, or do you need it that long to do all the moves to go around your body and over your head?
@Octomoves Жыл бұрын
Even when you shorten, I highly recommend hitting the ground. This way you get tactile feedback. Also, it makes sounds that keep you in the rhythm. So, a shorter rope will create a more martial art style of flow while forcing you to side bend more and keep hitting the ground. With longer rope, you get more gracefully and longer lines, so it's more of a swing style ;)

Anyone truly get a good workout and get lean doing this or that's not what Rope Flow is about?
@Octomoves Жыл бұрын
You can achieve that. It’s a good workout if you want to make it that. If you go slow and flow, it’s more about mobility, coordination and body fluidity. Plus mental benefits. Rope flow pairs perfectly with strength training and in that way you can make amazing gains ;)
@laja6108 Жыл бұрын
You can get lean without doing anything. Your diet and whether or not you burn more calories than you input determines leanness. Rope flow can help with burning calories, cardiovascular fitness, and mobility. The ropes are weighted so it can even be a form of rehab / prehab / explosive work. Depends on how you use it.

What are the main benefits of this?
@Octomoves Жыл бұрын
#1 Thing that people say is increased mobility. #2 Coordination and cardio. #3 Stress and anxiety relief. There are many more benefits that in general movement benefit, but it also depends on how are you using it. It's a simple tool that can be used in many ways (slow, fast, etc)

Whats the difference between octomove rope and Weck's ropes?
@Octomoves Жыл бұрын
Wowing. Weight. How it's made. You can roll any rope you like, and we are happy about that. We know that we are making the best flow rope possible. Our founders are crazy about that and tried all the ropes he could get hands-on, so there are no gues that Octomoves is best :) It's weird to say that, but check reviews (judge.me, Trustpilot, amazon), and you will find many people saying that
