I find telling that Spade Cooley's biographies always compare him to Bob Wills, but he rarely gets a mention when people talk about Bob (the true king of Texas Swing).

Hello I'm going to tell you the real story of this man. Spade's first wife went through pure hell with that man and had it not been for him meeting Ella she probably would have been murdered herself. Ella Mae suffered some of the twisted and horrific abuse I've ever heard a woman to suffer. He sexually assaulted her multiple times including using prostitutes in one of those assaults. He physically assaulted her almost every chance he got to the point many around her knew he would one day kill her. She attempted to take her own life multiple times and ended up being instituted each time for it. That sick bastard made his own daughter watch as he killed her mother and then molested her. And the truly saddest part of all of this was the fact that he didn't murder his wife because of that ridiculous water park (which he was only building as a incentive to make his wife move out to the desert with him because the neighborhood knew what was going on in that house) but he killed her because for the first time in all of this hell she went through she was going to run away from him because she knew he was going to finally kill her. This whole story was a tragedy and this man should not be celebrated in any form.

Yeah, but batspit crazy "progressive " California eventually abolished the death penalty for creeps like Colley, who received a light sentence because of his fragile health and his celebrity status.

Loretta Young was a vile creature, she financed her son Christopher Lewis who was making kiddy porn movies with boys 9 and up, she knew full well what he was doing, when Christopher Lewis was arrested for child trafficking, child molestation and child pornography Loretta Young paid a huge sum of money to get him off easy while his friends died in prison where Christopher Lewis should have been too!!

Spade was hot stuff on Saturday night TV when I was a young child. My mother never missed his shows. Even his commercials were a kick with obnoxious Dick Lane slamming his hand on the hoods of cars he was selling.

I grew up in Texas, born 1949. The State Laws were that a Man who Kills His wife for Cheating was not libel for her death. The Southern Baptist Seminary taugh that also. California was also very lenient in sending people of Corporate Upper Class to San Quentin, to the Death House, After all, in those days Killing your wife was not Murder. Another thing about this the entire script dosen'r match Police Investagation and Newspaper Coverage in 1960's

Inside job . Most people know why . It was to turn public opinion around to support invading Iraq and go to an unprovoked and uncalled for war to help the weapon industry get more prosperous . Even though UN inspector had declared upon a detailed inspection , that Iraq did not have any biological weapon .

Well, it’s nice to see the unedited clip where they play clips of the Best Picture nominees unlike the video from the Oscars KZfaq page where they just show still images for each of the nominees. However, Raiders of the Lost Ark is still the Best Picture of 1981, regardless of the film that actually won the Best Picture Oscar. The fact that Raiders left a great influence on modern action/adventure films and its iconic moments like the boulder chase sequence being the most parodied movie moment shows the everlasting impact this film has left and still continues with other films 40 years later.
